Starting a small business in Pennsylvania?
I want to start a small home repair business, most of the sales will be done on eBay. From eBay I estimate a gross around $7500-$10,000 a year and an unsure amount of local business. I want to have a business name and dedicated address which can be my home address if its legal. Im wondering can I say hey Im Joe Smiths widget repair business and I do repair and refurbish widgets with a lifetime warranty can I do this without licensing? insurance? or whatever due to the small amount Im going to earn here or what do I need to do so that I can be legal? I see a good potential here to make some cash but I see this as short term less than 10 years so I don't want to invest a lot in this but it is a good income supplement.

3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoHawkings says God is not needed in creation because?
there are forces such as gravity so that the universe will always create itself from nothing. If God isn't needed for creation because we have forces such as gravity, how did gravity come to exist and how could gravitational force have created matter if gravity by definition is the attracting force between parts of matter? Even if this was a reasonable explanation it still does not discount in any way that there could be a creator of our universe. Science constantly comes up with ever changing theories to explain the creation of our universe and life, but cannot recreate or find any proof positive reason where the first living cell came from or what life is. When you see a computer functioning or a car rolling down the road you know that there is a creator somewhere who built it and has some control over its operation, but when you see something even more complex such as the human being, living cells, the genetic code, our ecosystem, and the workings of our universe, which science has yet to touch the surface of how is it that you can think this all just happened all by mistake? I guess it takes allot of faith.

2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoThomas Paine was an Atheist?
I have looked for any proof of this since its basically known as a fact and this is the best I can find:
“ It has been the error of the schools to teach astronomy, and all the other sciences, and subjects of natural philosophy, as accomplishments only; whereas they should be taught theologically, or with reference to the Being who is the author of them: for all the principles of science are of divine origin. Man cannot make, or invent, or contrive principles: he can only discover them; and he ought to look through the discovery to the Author.”
“ The evil that has resulted from the error of the schools, in teaching natural philosophy as an accomplishment only, has been that of generating in the pupils a species of atheism. Instead of looking through the works of creation to the Creator himself, they stop short, and employ the knowledge they acquire to create doubts of his existence. They labour with studied ingenuity to ascribe every thing they behold to innate properties of matter, and jump over all the rest by saying, that matter is eternal.” “The Existence of God--1810”
4 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoThomas Jefferson was a Deist?
Atheists and Deists constantly say Thomas Jefferson was a Deist. If he was why would he say
“ The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.”
“Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.”
"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus."
“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” (excerpts are inscribed on the walls of the Jefferson Memorial in the nations capital) [Source: Merrill . D. Peterson, ed., Jefferson Writings, (New York: Literary Classics of the United States, Inc., 1984), Vol. IV, p. 289. From Jefferson’s Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, 1781.]
