Would my female boss be offnded if I addressed her as mistress XXXX or would she laugh?
She has a great sense of humor but I'm not sure if this would go over well. We frequently call her miss XXXX and I thought it would be funny to extend it to mistress when the guy is around. They do think noone realizes they are going at it.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoShould I confront my boss about her breach of trust?
My boss promised to keep a discussion we had private but I found out from a coworker that she is fooling around that she told him. Days later she came into the office area and just blurted out about the subject matter and many others ears could clearly hear her? It's a very sensitive issue to me and I'm pissed at the breach even though she did take action to help me with me with the issue which was tough for her.
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoMY boss and coworker are doing some serious open flirtations. Do I report them?
Boss is a (single)woman and I once had a crush on her so it could be my jealousy. But the guy is married and getting preferential treatment by projects going his way. They do have a lot in common so I totally understand her attraction to him. If I report them she will know it was me because there are only 4 in our group. Them two me and 1 other. Should I ask the other coworker if it bothers him? He doesn't see well and may not have noticed and I don't want to spread rumors

3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoShould I Bow out of work project to avoid annoying cowrkers flirtations?
My coworker is screwing the boss who is female. Great for him. She's absolutely beautiful, probably much better looking than his wife and more fun too. Only problem is I can't fkn stand him. Didn't like him before and still don't. Now he's gotten very cocky at work and even more annoying. She's wrapped around his finger as she lights up when ever he walks in. I'm jealous no doubt because I'm single but their open displays of affection/foreplay bother me. I have a project coming up that requires the 3 of us to work together all day. I'm dreading being around them and not sure I can control myself. Should I weasel out of the project and look like a slacker? Remeber she's my boss too.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoI want to start a small balcony garden, (ok about 2 or 3 plants) can I grow pumkins? or space to limited?
Balcony is about 3-1/2 x 5 ft but only want to dedicate 3-1/2 x 2. I was thinking the pot would be low to the balcony so the vine can spread a little on the balcony surface. Any recommendation?
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape9 years agoAre the fire fighters really heroes or were they just doing their job at the WTC?
I have a strong sense of duty to my job and feel that when confronted with a situation like this those whose job it is to do something react not as a hero but a sense of responsibility to perform their duty. Its what they are trained to do. The real hero is the person that goes out of their way to do something life threatening that they are not trained to do or expected to do. I'll get a lot of flack here from firefighters no doubt but I want them to understand I do understand their families loss but feel a need a separate the sacrifice that someone willfully put themselves in harms way acting out of pure untrained will to help others. I watched the show of heroes of 9/11 and was struck by office workers that went about saving others even though it wasn't their job. Should we separate the two or label both as heroes with maybe an additional higher distinction for the citizen hero?
2 AnswersMedia & Journalism10 years agook to let my cousin go?
My cousin is a drug addict and is in trouble....again. He's borrowed money from me several times, never paid me back, has ruined his wives financial status, and is calling me again for money. I live 1000's of miles away and can't be certain what he needs the money for but he says for medical reasons(pain management). Operation on his shouder that he does not his wife to know about. I feel the money is for drugs and I've got lots of bills coming but he is threatening suicide without support secret from his wife. I can't do it. Suggest next step?
1 AnswerFriends1 decade agoAre Tickets being issued to New Years revelers for littering?
I work in NY and know first hand how ridiculous the city officials/meter maids can be but this takes the cake. Down with NY! The city is nothing but a cesspool of bureaucracies taking money from the working class and giving it to spoiled lazy higher ups and catering to the rich. New york is not the city they portray it to be. I stopped to give a guy a package, left immediately and wasn't there more than 1 minute and was given a parking ticket!!! pathetic scum
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agohow do I stop getting New york times alerts without changing my email?
They say I can't unless I change my email address....this is ridiculous

6 AnswersBasketball1 decade ago2 Fridays ago I lost my phone next morning I informed Tmobile of the loss.?
They did not block my number from being used. I asked the guy at the counter if it had been used and he said no and when I buy a new phone to replace it no one can use the old one. Well, the person that found it racked up $1300 in charges before I even got to Tmobile and another $400 afterward. as you can guess I'm furious so much so my fuse is very short. My credit is in excellent standing(top 5%) but I do not feel I should have to pay these charges but am worried about my credit I had unlimited local and long distance but it looks like this person called overseas even though there is no international indication on the bill. I just read Verizon helped a person in this same situation by referring to their pattern of calling and noted the charges were very unusual. I'm in the same situation so how do I handle this?
I've got some numbers that the person called so I plan on doing some harrassing. I'm so furious I will not let this go without a nasty release.
3 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoIs it illegal to add notes criticizing authorities when paying fines?
I got a ticket to which I'm innocent of the charge. I fought it in court but the judge sided with the liar of a police officer. In paying the fine I want to vent with a letter describing my thoughts on poor policing. I know it will do nothing but I'm mad as heck and need to vent.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIs it insulting to my grandmother that she gets less money than my mother in a card for mothers day(details)?
My grandmother loves money however I've always given my mother more money than her on mothers day. My GM is 90+ and my mom takes care of her. I love my GM very much and wonder if I've been insulting her all these years. I usually give them additional stuff (plant/flowers) as well since money alone seems so insensitive. I'm very close to both.
2 AnswersFamily1 decade agoEverybody claiming the health care bill is garbage, I would like a confirmation that the next time?
you visit a hospital or Doctor you tell them you don't have coverage anymore. Then pay the charges as they come in. No backing out! since you can always tax deduct the expenses. So how many of you will take the challenge??
