I was donated some flowers to press to make jewelry and then I realized I did not know what type of flower this little red sample is. I'm having a hard time identifying it. They are small red and grow in clusters. Thanks!

It was found in Northern Colorado and grew in clusters. They were small purple flowers with four (?) petals. The following is a photo of the plant I'm referring to. Thanks for your help.

I've been doing photography for a few months now and I'm thinking of purchasing a macro lens. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-EF-50mm-f-2-5-compact-Ma...

But I'm wondering if perhaps a different lens would be a better investment. I want to get into abstract photography. So I feel that a macro lens could certainly help me with such things. But I'd like to get a few more opinions. So what do you think?
