  • Getting 19 month old to sleep somewhere other than home?

    Question says it all...

She's a wonderful sleeper (12-14 hours - with naps - per day). Doesn't fight, fuss, no bottle, you name it...great sleeper unless we try to lay her down somewhere other than home. We have a pack n play and fill it with her crib blankets, stuffed animals and she screams. We feel we cannot go anywhere because sleeping arrangements are so tough. We especially cannot go overnight with other people because it's rude to let her cry herself to sleep & burden all those with us.

Need advice. Summer is coming & I don't want to be stuck at home.

  • Do people REALLY understand the ramifications of Obama's Tax Plan?

Please people - before voting be sure to read about his plan.

'Tax cut for 95% of Americans' is nothing more than pretty words covering up a bunch of garbage. His plan is ludicris. Ifyou still choose to vote for him, you should be very worried.

  • 14 month throwing temper tantrums?

My 14 month old daughter has started throwing major temper tantrums which includes biting, hitting, throwing things, among other stuff. I refuse to spank her, but I have tapped her hands when she hits.

She's my first...is this normal? How do I get her to stop this practice? She's very good around other kids, but it seems that with me, she's a little terror. Maybe it's me?

  • Dream Interpretation - Very Strange?

Last night I had a dream that I was on trial for murder (stabbing another person & taking off on their motorcycle). I remember being brought into the courtroom, pleading not-guilty & really trying to remember if I had done it or not...I woke up before it was over...

I've never even had a speeding ticket (knock on wood) & can't drive a motorcycle - what could it mean??

Our family loves fried green tomatoes, but I can never get the batter to stick on the tomatoes.

I use a mixture of corn meal, flour, and milk (with salt & pepper) & the batter always falls off while frying

Any advice to get the batter to stick better?

  • Singing Preparation?

I'm in a singing competition this weekend & was wondering if there's anything good to drink (really, other than water) that can help my voice stay clear...I tend to get a bit 'mucusy' in my throat.

Also, I sing in front of people all the time, but can't seem to shake these butterflies - any advice?

  • Suggestions for Hair Color / Highlights?

Need some suggestions for my dark brown hair (with a couple strands of grey--aahhh).

I'm getting the 'Pob' haircut (inverted Bob) & need some color or highlights.

I have medium skin, a round face & very dark brown eyes.

If you could attach pictures for examples, I'd really appreciate it.

  • What to Make?

My husband & I are watching our diets, but are becoming quite tired of grilled chicken all the time.

Any ideas out there for healthy meals that I can make for dinner?

PS - keep them simple - we have an infant who is first priority.

  • Weight Loss - Healthy Lifestyle Help?

I'm a (full-time) working mom of a 11 month old baby. Needless to say, I'm very busy & excercising doesn't really fall into my daily plan.

I've started a simple change in my diet, by cutting out diet soda & switching completely to water (other than my morning 2-3 cups on coffee). Along with that, I'm eating an apple, or grapes at breakfast and mid-morning snack, a salad or sub (from Subway) for lunch (packed with veggies) & then a light supper (last night was chicken breasts & steamed veggies)

I try to walk with my daughter in the stroller each nite, at least 15-20 minutes & then I'm on the floor with my job walking around quite a bit.

At this rate, if I continue religiously, what kind of results do you think I'll see? What could I do in addition? Thanks :)

  • Bulged / Partially Protruding disc in neck?

I had an MRI done recently which revealed that I had a bulging / partially proturding disc in my neck along with 'straightening of the lordotic curve'. The pain started a little over 5 weeks ago I've been attending physical therapy & doing excercises at home & the pain isn't near as bad as what it was in the beginning (could barely walk - in tears constantly). Anyway, it stil hurts, & I still have numbness in my thumb and forefinger along with right arm weakness.

I'm scheduled for 6 more PT visits, but am concerned that I may need surgery.

Anyone in the community ever had this? What are my chances of having to be operated on?

  • Fair Credit Reporting?

6 years ago, an ex defaulted on a auto loan. I co-signed, but when the loan went bad, I never received any notification as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including notice that payment was due, notice of sale of the vehicle, etc, etc. T

he loan was charged off - then sold to a collector.

Last summer, that company contacted me to try to get me to pay up (20k). I obtained a laywer to determine if my rights were being violated.

After 6-7 letters from my attorney to this company, they never responded with any type of documentation. They were given at least 45 days.

What do I do now? Now another company has bought it.

  • SOL on 2001 debt (OHIO)?

I'm being harrassed by another company that has bought an old debt. The first company that bought it never responded to letters from my attorney repeatedly requesting proof that I was liable for the debt (co-sign that went into default - no notification given to me on any level). On my credit report it shows closed.

Now this second company (which I've never heard of & is not on any of my credit reports) are calling my in-laws every day looking for me & accused them of covering for me. They claim that they have my number, but haven't called me...

The loan was taken out in 2001 & I believe only 1 or 2 payments were made. I can't tell from my report when the clock starts ticking.

  • Adult Acne?

I'm 36 years old & still break out like a teenager. I've tried just about every product, including ProActive, which I returned because it actually made my skin worse. Any ideas? Also, from all the years of sun and picking, my face has noticeable scarring. Any suggestions on how to reverse, or at least minimize the appearance?
