  • Dale JR.,,,,,, Opie or Warren Buffet?

While I know lots of Jr fans buy the "awwww shucks" act Lil E puts out there,I don't for a second.Now.I like the guy,but he's not the bumpkin he protends to be.Why,would Jr. start JR Motorsports and invest so heavily in it,just to turn around and try to get DEI?.As savvy as Kelley is,I'm sure Jr gets business advice from experts. To my knowledge it was never clear whether Jr. wanted step-mom to "give him" 51% or if he wanted to buy it.But regardless his future has been tied into Jr motorsports for a couple years and thats where he'll go in 5 years.I don't buy the,"I can't get the 8" either.Again I mean no disrespect, but I think he's okie-doking his fans.Thats a balance sheet in his back pocket, not a slingshot.

  • Liquor Commercial During The Race?

During the race one of the big liquor companies (Jack or Jim) I don't remember which, ran an ad.Now,I'm not a big T.V. watcher other then Nascar, but does anyone know if they advertise Hard liquor on any other program.I also know they pulled all hard liquor ads years ago although I believe by agreement not law.Have I just been missing the fact they are advertising or is this new? I really don't care either way it just intriqued me and I wondered what the rest of you knew about the subject, any one think they shouldn't?

  • Anyone else notice about Juans crew?

When JPM had his ummmmm incident did anyone else notice how his crew chief was talking to him on the radio? I know he wanted him back in the car,but his tone seemed severe. This wouldnt be the first time this year, when he and his crew weren't on the same page and I'm wondering if you think there might be a tad of friction there? Also Ganassi seemed less then pleased with his driver, mainly for gear selection, but I'm wondering if theres more to it? Thoughts?

  • Geez ESPN is bad!!!!!?

Man I can't stand that network and theres lots of reasons, but what I hate the most is after a race like that, they can't get away fast enough. No post race interviews to speak of and its on to Yankee highlights.I know A.B.C. and ESPN are both owned by Disney, but do any of you think it might get better? At least abc wont have to cut to sportscenter 5 seconds after a race, thoughts?

  • Robby fined?

Nascar has announced its fine for Robby Grodon 35k and probation for the rest of the year.Pretty light if you asked me,but I think its Nascar admitting they had a part in the whole thing. If they felt they were right Nascar would have slapped him much harder, thoughts??

  • Giving credit when it's due?

While everyone one of us has jumped on a driver for being a bonehead, even our own favs. Can we get a thumbs up for a couple of guys when they do or say something impressive.I'm speaking of Lil E winning the pole yest. and quickly pointing out the fact that the track conditions were in large part responsible for his lap.Add to that, the fact they had Kurt Busch in the booth at the time and he didn't lament the situation either.Maybe it doesn't take much to impress me,but I just loved the fact that Jr. was so honest and Kurt didn't complain, anyone else?

  • Stewart's mind,is no place to go alone?

I've maintained for years that Tony Stewart is the best self motivator Nascar has ever seen.He will rip teammates, media, other drivers and Nascar as a whole. In his quest to light a fire under himself. He's great at it,But heres the rub, while Tony can afford the fine and points Nascar will undoubtably hand out soon and it won't bother him at all. What happens when the chase begins and losing points will bother him, whats he going to do to motivate himself? Can Tony win without the chaos he invokes? I have my doubts, whats your take?

  • Yates and Newman-Hass to merge?

ESPN is now reporting the merger of Yates and Newman-Hass racing. What the hey is going on?Why is everyone merging did the Cat in the Hat finally start a trend? Or is it so expensive now that you have to.Anyone know what the reasoning for it is? Guess Nascar drivers will be able to get a discount on salad dressing now.

  • Does Gordon have a piece of the new guy?

Before anyone burns me in effigy this is pure speculation on my part. But when Lil E signed on with Hendrick you didn't hear from Jeff right away, only Jimmy. Then when you did pretty much all Jeff would say is Rick called and consulted him about bringing LIl E in.That led me to believe there is something being left unsaid.Like maybe Gordon has a part of the newest teammate ownership wise.I'm speculating the reason its not formally announced is the same reason weve had a zillion posts on here with upset Dale fans getting use to his new deal,if you tossed in what I suspect,WHEW Katy bar the door. What do you fans think?

  • Do spotters help?

Ive always wondered the effectivness of a spotter during a carsh. Now I know they are helpfull when another driver is outside of you during the normal course of a race. But during a carsh and they are screaming "go low" "go low" I really doubt their worth in those cases. The best Ive ever heard was a spotter (think it was Kyle Petty's)who simply said "GOODLUCK" If you were the driver with world class reflexes that racers have, would you rather they just be quiet or do you think they help?

My gosh Edwards has hit everything with a #.Spinning dude out in the corner was uncalled for and should have earned him an agressive driving penalty. He looks like the schoolyard bully tonight.Hope one of these young guns punts him before its over.Or am I over-reacting.

  • Kyle Busch lottery sweepstakes?

I was going to make this a straight when will Kyle get fired lottery, but it made me think what happens during the chase if he switched teams? So I'm going with a two-part question, you all can handle it.Part one, when or if do you think Lil Kyle gets the boot from Hendricks and part two what does happen to his car for the chase if/when it happens.

  • All you Kasey fans?

Over the past few years Ive watched Kahne race and the guy would either be contending for a win or making marks on the wall. This year Kasey has had only one d.n.f. that I know of and that isn't how Kasey drives.Could it be Kahne has lost some of his competiviness? I mean can you imagine lil busch not crashing? Thats how Kasey use to drive and I just don't see it anymore.Your thoughts?

  • Who longs for the good ol' days?

Let me start by saying,I'am a #24 fan and have been since "Wonderboy" broke in.But as I reflect on yesterdays race I'm wondering why in the world Jeff didnt use his bumper more.He certainly needed to use it to get by Truex jr. and probably would have passed Hamlin easy.Gordon beat the heck out of Jimmy's back bumper earlier this year and their TEAMATES.What I'm getting at is back in the day there was no question a faster car was going to do whatever it took to get around you,if a driver could get to your bumper he was going to use it.Now I'm not saying on lap 50 start moving guys, but with 25 to go look-out.Thats why I like Nascar if intimidation isn't a factor we would never have had an "Intimidator".Anyone else long for those days or has Nascar gotten to be to much about "big picture racing".For me its all about W's nothing else matters. What do you fans think?
