  • What's wrong with my GBB magazine?

I have recently purchased a WE MEU 1911 with an additional 1911 magazine. I was filling them with propane from an adapter a few days ago and had a very difficult time getting the propane to feed, let alone to fill the magazines. The spare mag was able to fill to capacity but I had a very difficult time getting it to accept the gas. The MEU mag was able to fire 7 shots but seemed to barely fill at all afterwards. I had to really use force to get the propane to feed and I was unable to get a constant stream; the propane would feed with a quiet hissing for a few seconds before sputtering out and I had to again find the "sweet spot" to get the gas to feed. It is a brand new propane bottle and I'm not sure if the problem is with the magazines, the propane adapter, or the technique I am using.

  • Fair price for new Glock?

I'm headed to a gun show this Saturday and I'd like to come home with either a new Glock 23 or Springfield XD40. I'm on a tight budget, though, and would like to pay $500 for a gen 3 or 4 Glock or the XD. Is this a fair price to negotiate for or should I instead look for a used model?

  • Misspelled name on savings bond?

I have some savings bonds from an aunt that were given to me when I was born. I'd like to cash them in but my middle name on the certificate is spelled "Matthew" whereas my legal middle name (on my license and my social security card) is spelled "Mathew". Can I still cash these bonds or should I have my mother, whose name is also on the bond, do it?

  • Mysterious bug bites at night?

About a week or two ago I started waking up with itchy, red welts on my ankles. It was only one at first, very itchy and red, with what looks like a scab similar to what you'd get from a syringe in the middle. Then it spread to my right leg, and more appeared on both my left and right legs.

It's centered around my ankles but there's a few on my legs, all below the knee. There are two other people in the house, and two pets, but I'm the only one affected. I've changed my sheets, vacuumed on and around the bed, but it still persists. I looked around my bed but couldn't find anything like bed bugs or fleas or their droppings.

I'm at my wits end and need to know what it could possible be.
