My brothers and sisters in Christ, do you know that you have been given the light of life, that we have now been saved by God's mercy, through Jesus's suffering on the cross. that Jesus chose to come into this world as one of us and lay his life down in our place. and that this amazing message of grace is ours to tell the world?

Matthew 5:15

15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

for those who are not christians, for everyone who will hear, Jesus is the light of the world, he will bring your life from the darkness just as he did mine. if you are willing to follow him he will give you eternal life. will you listen to this message of grace and mercy this year? will you not harden your hearts against it but recieve this gift of salvation? and for those who follow Christ, for myself as well, will you go out and give this message, will you show this light and bring the gospels wherever you go?

John 11:25

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

i can't help noticing every time i'm on here just how much hate there is in the religion & spirituality section, and i just want to let all the athiests out there know that iv'e got nothing against you.

and i want to ask my fellow christians, do you feel the same?

remember that the Lord has said to us

Luke 6:27-31

27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Ephesians 6:12

12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

we're not meant to fight against you, but for you

when you think about talking to someone about God, do you stop because of how you think it will go? do you let the precept of their reaction prevent you from sharing the words of life with them?

do you remember that the only way this can end is with total and complete victory?

sometimes the people who you think will not hear God's word are the ones who are listening the most. are we not commanded to show God's love to all that we can?

Matthew 13:3-9

3Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. have we forgotten who is with us? and what he has said to us?

Isaiah 41:13

i am using a 17 inch monitor but my graphics card is horrible, i am trying to adjust the screen size to use a smaller portion of the screen for gaming but when i adjust the resolution to say 600x480 it automatically adjusts to fit the screen so everything is just huge, theres no way to change screen size on the monitor, weird i know.

Matthew 24:6-7

6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

-it is estimated that 40 armed conflicts took place globally in the year 2001 alone.

- it is estimated by the UN that 854 million people went hungry in 2006

Daniel 12:4

4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

-70,000,000,000 air miles were travelled worldwide in the year 2000 alone

-It is estimated that in 2007 there were over 100 million websites on the internet

Matthew 24:21-22

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

- lasting for almost half a century the Cold War and the Nuclear arms race meant that if this tribulation resulted in war, no flesh would be saved.

Matthew 24:37-39

37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Could it be that the Bible actually is the living word of God and inspired by his holy spirit?

Isaiah 42:9

"Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them."

John 13:19

“Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He."

Be careful not to ignore these things

Isaiah 40:22 (New King James Version)

why would someone roughly 700 B.C. claim that the earth was round if not inspired by it's creator?

why is the Religion and Spirituality section full of people who clearly do not believe in it, and so many questions demeaning and belittling to christians? personally i don't go into the cricket section and criticize their sport because i feel it has no use in my life, are atheists angry that people would believe something so foolish? the Bible has predicted this in 1 Corinthians 1:18

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

or maybe atheists do not completely understand the Bible or Christianity,

the Bible also predicted hatred of christianity in Matthew 24:9

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

take a think about it

i have two three spot gouramis (blue gouramis) in a 20 gallon tank, ive had them there for about a year and theyve been fine most of the time. one of them has been acting sluggish and has black marks all over his body, at first i thought it was a fungus and treated with an antifungal medicine, i then treated it with an antibacterial medicine but it hasnt really worked he cant swim up from the bottom and usually just sits there, is there anything else i can do?
