Home AC Maintenance: I know I need to keep the filter clean. I was also told to use water and the shopvac on a pipe (runs along side the evap core) to pull the mud out. Where does this pipe lead to? Why do I do this? I ve never seen anyone have to do this before (I m from Fl and this unit is in AZ).

  • When should I see someone about depression?

How do you know if someone is just sad vs depressed? What questions should be answered to let them know that they have to see a doctor about possibly getting medication or at least finding out if they have depression at all? Are there tell tale signs that are a scream for help?

  • What types of SUV's should I look at?

I'm looking for an SUV that will fit a family of 4, can tow around 5-7klbs, and is comfortable for possible trips from east coast to west coast (meaning: has cup holders and other luxuries):

One we have looked at so far is the Explorer. Any others you could suggest?

  • A square wave does not have an rms value...why?

This is a question I have in my homework and I am confused. It's the last one I have to answer and the question actually stated:

"Does a Square Wave Have an RMS Value? Why?"

In the lab I read it says, "Square waves are displayed just like sine waves except that the measurements are different. Both have p-p, peak and Hz, but the square wave DOES NOT have rms or average voltage values."

But everywhere I looked to help me explain the why just gives e a formula for finding rms of a square wave... So if it doesn't have rms...then why not? I could really use an explaination for myself as well as the homework.

  • How much power can I use?

I am creating a circuit on a breadboard. I have 2 AA batteries in my power strip so 3V and a 5V LED bulb for the breadboard. When I set up the circuit it tells me I have about 2.8A (or mA don't remember off the top of my head) of current running through which will make the bulb blink. How much power can I use on the light bulb without making it blow out? And is there an equation for figuring this out later if I change to a different bulb?

  • Taking animals on planes?!?

I will be flying from the west coast to the east coast for a family get together this summer that will be 2 weeks long. I would like to take my German Shephard with me but I have never done this before and don't know anyone who has. He weighs about 70lbs now at a year old and we won't be going until July.

How much will it cost us to take him with us roughly? Or If you have done this how much did it cost you and how big was your dog? Also are there any risks I should know about with trying to travel with my dog on the plane? Will he be ok to travel or is it a bad idea althogether to try and bring a pet on a plane?

I will have to switch planes...will this be a problem/a potential problem...Do they lose dogs as easily as luggage?...

  • Training my GSD to Walk and to greet other dogs?

I am having trouble with training my GSD to walk with out dragging my husband and I around and to greet other dogs without jumping on their faces first. I understand he is a puppy and wants to play and jump all over but I want him to walk up to other dogs calmly and smell them and to walk next to us or a bit ahead of us without dragging us. He is 6 months old and 50lbs.

Right now we are having a lot of problems figuring out how he responds best to different walking commands (my husband changed the ones he was using) so Broc is confused. The more confused he gets the more my husband yells. He doesn't realize Broc is doing exactly what he's being guided to do....Please help before our dog just gets more confused.

  • Using Excel.. How do I calculate how many words in my sheet begin with a K?

I used Countif but I have to type in each K word separately. This will be a problem when calculating spreadsheets with over 2000 cells. My formula for countif was B1:B91,K and keeps coming out to 0 but should say 22. Is there an easier way to count all words in a spreadsheet that begin with a K?

  • Microsoft Excel Question... Pls help?

    Here's some background...

    The data says this:

    numbers in column A:

    0231.001.00.00

    0231.001.01.00

    0231.001.01.01

    0231.001.01.02

    0231.002.00.00

    This pattern continues.

    Column B: Grid Coordinates

    S4M3

    S1P2

    K1F1

    A2RD2

These are coordinates from a grid. They stand for Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes.

My question: Is there a formula, or a way, that I can make Excel tell me how many of these numbers have a grid coordinate beginning with A? K? And how many start with S, but only the ones whose numbers end in 00.00?

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Depression? Could I have it?

I don't usually go looking into this too far because I don't like saying I have something (like depression) when I don't and I certainly don't want to take medication with the type of side effects in antidepressants....However....

I am really wondering lately whether I have depression. Most of my friends and family would say no if asked about me having it. However, I have been increasingly irritable to the point of criticizing my husband (even in front of friends), feel like I am going no where in life and that my boss does not want me there (even though he says he is lucky to have me as an employee, been crying a lot for the last month and a half, I have thoughts about cutting myself but don't act on them (always though this was just left over from being a mild cutter in high school), and have ALWAYS been extremely anxious - to the point that I can't sit still most days, have panic attacks, must always be doing something.

But, I don't have this all the time, it's always been an on and off type thing other than the panic attacks.

    Could I have depression?

  • Officer in the Air Force - Most Demanded MOS/positions?

I have a friend that is thinking about going into the Air Force (not a definite on which branch). She has a Bachelor's degree in Music (played the violin)

Is she able to going in as an officer?

Is there a job that would let her continue to play the violin?

Also, She has an idea of what she would like to do with her life (perhaps run her own business) and is there any MOS (preferably in the Intelligence field) that would allow her to do a job that is high in demand when she gets out?

One that is higher in demand would allow her to get a job that would help her raise money for starting her own business...

Thank you in advance for reading and answering this long question.

Anything you can tell me about being an officer would be great too!

  • How do I impress them? I want to show them I was worth the money they spent hiring me!?

I am an Administrative Assistant for a Government Contracters company. I was wondering if any of you had any advice or project ideas for impressing the project managers or boss.

Is there anything you have done before that your boss was impressed with? Are there any projects I could try and begin?

Currently I am partially in charge of keeping the employees on track with their training, data entry, and office stuff such as inventory, answering phones, sending receiving faxes..etc.

I am asking because I am not so much the creative person. I'm more likely to do as I'm told than to create somehing myself.

    Just need ideas please!

  • Ideas for a paint job?

I need ideas for a paint job on my '94 Honda Prelude.

I still have some things I would like done first (like fixing the radio and making sure the engine is ok to handle a small turbo and an intake), but have been thinking of paint jobs- Nothing too girly...

I'm more of a tomboy and my husband may need to drive it every once and a while.
