I am 48 years old and I have been around the block a couple of times, and experienced alot of things. I have worked in the health care field for 29 years. Don't be offended if you don't like my answer, you asked my opinion, and I am going to give it to you. Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow, and I don't sugar coat anything. I have made my share of mistakes, and if I can help someone not make the same mistake, that makes me happy. I wish we had YA when I was growing up. There were alot of things I had questions about and did not feel comfortable asking my parents.
Question about aggressive cat?
My husband's son is coming to live with us and one of our cats hates him!! He will stand near him and howl and growl and hiss at him for no reason at all. Last night I told him to give the cat some treats and the cat hissed and swatted at him. The cat is a 5 year old fixed male and usually is ok when other males come over, will rub against them and try to get them to pet him.
The kid is 20 and as far as I know, has never done anything to the cat. He sweats alot, sometimes with a strong odor. The cat loves his shoes (rubs all over them) but hates the kid.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Have you ever had a day like that? For instance, yesterday when I got to work, there was a police car in front of the office. I knew that I had not done anything THAT wrong but I had to wonder if they were there for me.

My husband has a 19 year old step-son from previous marraige. He gave him a job right out of high school making good money.
Kid got mad because hubby told him to get off phone and work. Now he has quit with no notice. I asked him to work one more week, so we could find replacement, but he won't , so I want to stop his ability to use cell phone which is in my name. Would cost $175 to break contract (6 more months)
How can I stop his ability to use the phone?. I pay the bill most of the time. He gives me half sometimes. But, his share is more than half because he texts and I don't. We have been nothing kind to this kid who isn't either one of ours. We always get him expensive gifts at Christmas and his Bday and include him in our holiday plans (his mother is a drunk) and all I asked for was one more week of work.

My husband and I can't figure out why kids text so much. His kid, who is 18, sends from 30-50 texts a day. Why can't kids just call the person that they want to talk to? It seems much easier than typing out all those words. Someone help me understand!!
