  • Do you think the Columbine massacre could have been prevented if Klebold's crush returned his feelings?

I've been researching the Columbine massacre for a while now. If anyone here knows about it and would like to share their opinion on this, I'd appreciate it. Dylan Klebold's journal is filled with talk of wanting to find someone to love and be loved by. He crushes on several girls but there seems to be a main one near the end. It would be interesting to know who she is, but I understand she deserves her privacy. Of course it's all just speculation and anything is possible, but do you think if the girl had returned his feelings he wouldn't have gone through with it? Also, do you think the girl knows by now that he had a crush on her (the names are blacked out in the journal by the police)? I've always wondered how she felt about him and the fact that he liked her. It's sad they didn't have a chance. Anyway, thanks in advance for any insightful, relevant answers!

BTW, if you're going to lecture me about having an interest in this case and having questions about one of the perpetrators, don't bother. I'm aware it was a tragedy and no, I don't condone murder. Thanks.

  • Do you really find anorexic chicks attractive?

Do people really find anorexic girls attractive? (I mean, because they are thin.) I'm just asking out of curiosity. I mainly would like a male opinion, but females are welcome too. I know that being overweight is unattractive to most people, but I am curious as to what's appealing about barely any flesh, no curves, and of course the flat chest & behind.

NOTE: This question was NOT meant to debate whether anorexia is a mental problem or just an attention-seeking strategy. Don't bother answering if that's your only point to discuss.

    Thanks!

  • Job prospects with a provisional teaching license?

I am currently working on an undergraduate degree. I am thinking about pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program when I complete the undergrad. degree. The MAT program is an alternative teacher certification and I would be doing it for special education. My question is: I know you can get a provisional teaching license while working on the MAT, but how difficult is it to get a teaching position with a just a provisional license? Thanks for any relevant comments!

P.S. I am in Kentucky; this is where I would be working.

  • Should I go to Midway College (KY)?

I am interested in attending Midway Collge in KY and majoring in teacher education. I would like to hear from any current or former students the pros and cons of the college/program; esp. concerning the cost of attending. Thanks.

  • Can someone offer some words of wisdom?

Ok, here's the deal-many years ago when I was in middle school I had a major crush on one of my teachers. I'm pretty certain he liked me too, as a student and possibly more, but never really did anything outright he wasn't supposed to do. A few months ago, I found him on facebook and after hesitation, sent a brief message just asking if he ever used to teach at so-and-so school (just making chitchat). I thought it was innocent enough but anyway the best I can tell he's been on a couple times after that but so far hasn't replied. So, I guess he could have forgotten after all these years, that's understandable, even though the year I had him was his first year of teaching. But I'm assuming the more likely prospect is that he read it and is ignoring me. I don't know why it's bothering me so much; I hadn't thought about him in a long time until a few months ago when my friends and I were reminiscing and now I can't stop thinking about him. He was a great person, friend, and teacher. I just miss him and would love to have someone like him in my life again. I know I'm being a total loser...
