Should I go to Midway College (KY)?
I am interested in attending Midway Collge in KY and majoring in teacher education. I would like to hear from any current or former students the pros and cons of the college/program; esp. concerning the cost of attending. Thanks.
I would be a transfer from a 2 year college & I hear that most of the teacher ed. program is online. I have seen the school's website. I'm interested in hearing from actual students if possible and their experience with the college, esp. concerning the cost. Thanks.

Yikes!!!
This school is a private school. Meaning if you are going to school to be a teacher, your pay will prob never justify the high cost of attending if you must borrow to attend here.
Costs
$630.00 a credit hour (my local school is about $100.00 a credit hour)
15 hrs per semester X $630.00 = $9,450 a semester or $18,900 a year.
Dorm room is another:
$3,640 X 2 semesters = $7,280
Required Meal Plan costs are not listed (idiotic) but is prob comparable in costs to the dorm room so would be an ADDITIONAL (this is an estimate):
3,640X 2 semesters = $7,280
Books
1500 X 2 Semesters = 3,000
So, my estimate per YEAR for this school is:
$3,000 books, fees, misc.
$7,280 meal plan (Estimated)
$7,280 dorm
$18,900 tuition
______________
$36,500 a year times 4 years is roughly $146,000 for your bachelors degree.
My local schools at 100 a credit hour are much less money.. you might want to consider starting out at a cheap com college first and then transferring here when you are a jr or senior... it will save you about 33,000 X 2 = 66,000 dollars. It will save you about 66,000 from that 146,000!
