I would just like to know if people thought all the changes and new approaches Miles Davis took were because he was just trying to stay commercial or was he actually just taking new directions because he was so talented and inventive?

Im thinking about applying in America, I will have my degree in music next year and I want to go on and become a music teacher so I've been looking into a few courses. last night I got a sharp pain in the left hand side of my chest and then the pain started to move down my left arm. my arm feels tingly and my elbow feels weak. the front and back of my shoulder is in pain too but it hurts the most when I laugh. I get a sharp shooting pain which feels like its deep in my chest. I have no idea what this is or how to get rid of it. its extremely annoying. anybody got any ideas ?
