Adoptive parents, prospective adoptive parents and adoptees?
Think it is wrong to for first/natural mothers to want to update medical information as their child grows older? Honestly when you are young you are much less likely to have pertinent information about your health history as most young mothers are healthy as are their families. In time we learn that heart disease, breast cancer, diabetes and other diseases are in the "family line" not knowing about some of these diseases could hurt the children we surrendered or cause them to have to undergo very invasive testing to make sure they are not prone to those diseases, or carriers of the genes that make some diseases more likely.
If you don't think this is the right thing to do why not? If you do think it is proper what have you done to ensure that this happens?
