I just got an iPhone 4s from someone and it has the picture saying to connect the phone to iTunes, but it won't show up on my computer or on iTunes? How do I fix it??

On my brother's account, you can hear everyone using a mic when playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. But, on my account, it automatically mutes everyone in very lobby I go to. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it?
