  • How to avoid little toe blisters?

I have a blister on the bottom of my little toe. The toe next to it steps on part of my little toe when I walk and it causes the blister. It usually never causes a blister, but I've been doing a lot more walking and the blister is getting worse. I'm getting surgery to have my feet realigned, but until then, how can I treat or prevent the blister from happening?

  • Extremely itchy legs?

My legs have been INCREDIBLY itchy for the past couple of weeks. They've always itched, but it's never this bad. Now, no matter how much I scratch, the itch doesn't go away. My skin is puffy and red in some areas, and some areas have been scratched so much that it's started bleeding. And it's STILL itchy. I've always had eczema, but it's been one location and very clear where it is. This is my ENTIRE leg (both of em). I have no idea what to do. Lotion burns and I've tried to stop shaving for a week and it didn't help. I've got one area that felt like it was something I might be allergic to (it was stinging and tender to the touch, didn't itch as much as the others, probably because of the pain).

Any ideas as to what it could be? Or how to fix it? Thanks!

  • Late period and on birth control?

I haven't had sex since the summertime, and I've gotten my period since then. But this month I'm late. I usually get it Tuesday or early Wednesday (of this week) and I still haven't gotten it. Last month I completely forgot to take my last four birth control pills, and got my period early. This month I took all of them and I haven't gotten my period yet like I normally would have. On top of that, I'm not sure if it matters, I have a yeast infection. So I'm not sure what exactly is going on here. My boyfriend and I haven't had sex at all, so I really don't think pregnancy is a possibility. Could my hormones just be going crazy cause I missed the pills last month and I took them this month?

  • How long does it take for an industrial piercing (or cartilage piercing) to heal?

I've heard from 1 month, to 6 months to a year. I've always believed 6 months to a year because that's what my piercer has told me. But I went to another piercer and he said 1 month, and a friend of mine has a friend that had an industrial heal in 1 month. Mine has been 4 months and it will still swell, hurt occasionally, get all red, and it's in no position to be taken out and changed. The piercer that also told me 1 month said that I'm probably just allergic to the metal and I should change it to titanium. Well, my belly button ring is the same metal and was pierced at the same time and I haven't had nearly as many problems...so I have no idea what's up... Any ideas?

  • Why is Old Navy sizing so random?

I bought three pairs of shorts there a while back, all the same cut/style. I ended up buying a 4, 6, and 8. None of the sizes fit the same and this happens every time I go to Old Navy. Why?

  • Subway job orientation?

I just had my interview today and they've called me back for orientation. They didn't tell me what to wear though. They just said "Come in and we'll run you through everything and you'll be good to go".

So how should I dress for this?

    Thanks!

  • Redness around navel piercing hole?

On the top hole of my navel piercing it's a reddish pink. It's only on the front half of the hole, and the back is normal skin color. I've had the piercing since Aug. 3 and I've been doing a sea salt soak once a day and a dial soap wash once a day. It doesn't hurt, but the tiny bit of red/pink is just a little sensitive. I don't think it's rejecting, but who knows. I'm not allergic to the metal because I was pierced with the same metal for my industrial a month before my navel piercing and I haven't had a problem with that.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Other important details that I apparently need to add for a decent answer:

    - I have a barbell in, that's what I've been pierced with and I haven't changed it.

    - I'm not a tummy sleeper

    - It's not a bump, it's completely flat actually. The skin is just red.

    - I do not clean the piercing in the shower, I clean it afterwards

    - I am still cleaning the piercing because those were my piercer's instructions "Clean it till it's healed"

    - I don't have any crusties

  • Horizontally striped men's pants?

Where can I find some? I found a pair on Urban Outfitters, but they're no longer being sold. Please link me if you can, no matter what the price! Thanks!

  • Lack of sensitivity during sex?

Pre-circumcision, my boyfriend and I would have sex but he'd never finish because he couldn't really feel anything down there. He had to get a circumcision to fix a pre-existing problem he's had since birth, and now that he's healing up, he's a whole lot more sensitive to any sort of touch down there. Why might this be?

FYI, before the circumcision he couldn't retract his foreskin. It was like "glued" to the head. Could this be part of why he couldn't feel much of anything?

  • How long should you wait before changing an industrial bar?

I've had my industrial for about two months, and I know it's not healed yet, but I'm wondering what the minimum amount of time you should generally wait before changing the piercing, or any other piercing for that matter.

  • Jewelry stuck to piercing hole?

I got my navel pierced (less than a month) and my industrial pierced (over a month) and I've noticed that when I try to push the navel ring up just a bit to make it even, it won't budge and it's stuck to the skin around the top of the hole. I've also just noticed it's stuck at the bottom as well. I looked at my industrial and the top piercing looks similar to my top navel hole. Almost like there's dry skin around the hole. And I pushed it just a bit, and I think that one may be stuck too.

But, when I wash them, they can move all over the place, no problem. But I don't move them, I'm just saying that it's easier to do so.

I know I'm not supposed to move the piercings, trust me. It's just bothering me that they're sticking to the jewelry. I was pretty sure it wasn't supposed to do that. But I'm BARELY trying to move them, just enough to see if they're sticking, and they are. I do sea salts once a day, as well. What's the deal with my piercings? When should they stop sticking like that (6 months - year)?

Someone tell me what's the problem here? Thanks.

  • Shiny ear after piercing?

I got my industrial pierced last month and I haven't had any real problems. I had a small hypertrophic scar but I've been taking care of it with tea tree oil and it's almost gone. It's hasn't been irritated, swollen, or infected, I've been cleaning it religiously just as my piercer said, sea salt soaks once a day, I haven't slept on the side pierced, I've had my hair up, I haven't gone swimming...basically everything you're supposed to do with new piercings. But since I've got it, I've noticed that the pierced ear is extremely shiny compared to the unpierced ear. My ear just looks really oily. Like I can coat a cookie sheet with my ear. But when I touch it (not the piercing, but the cartilage in-between the two piercings) it's not oily at all. It's just really shiny. I've only been cleaning it twice a day with antibacterial soap and once a day with a sea salt soak, which is what my piercer instructed me to do. I'm not entirely sure why it's so shiny. I'm going back to my piercer tomorrow to have her look over the piercings she's done before I go off to college so I'm A-okay and I don't have to travel 2 hours back to my home town to get piercing help.

The shininess isn't really that much of concern, it just looks funny because one ear is so much shinier than the other. Any idea why it's this shiny? And how long could it take to go away?

I'm well aware that industrials can take 6 months to a year to fully heal, so if the shininess is just apart of the healing process, let me know. Thank you in advance!

  • Industrial piercing cleaning?

I've been cleaning my industrial just has my piercer said ever since I got it about a month ago. Antibacterial soap washes twice a day and a sea salt soak once a day. I've never had a problem! I had a little hypertrophic scar, and I started adding tea tree oil to my sea salt soak and the scar has been going away. But basically since I got the piercing, my right ear (the pierced ear) has been a smidgen redder than the other and it's shiny. The entire ear, not just the piercing. It's not swollen, doesn't hurt, not warm, no puss. I know it's not infected and I haven't irritated it in any way. I'm assuming the redness is just it trying to heal up, so that's fine. But it is quite shiny. I'm not entirely sure if that's normal, if it's no big deal, or if it's a problem.

Let me know what the deal is with my shiny ear, and if possible, how long it could be like that. I'm seeing my piercer tomorrow just to take one last look over everything before I go off to college to make sure everything is A-okay, I just want some other opinions too.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Last day at my first job of two years?

I'm going to be posting a photo of my work hat and shirt on facebook, and I've got most of my co-workers as friends, and I'd love to say something about the time I've spent there. We really only have a handful of employees, and I just feel like I'm apart of a family now and I'm really going to miss it. I'm moving on to college, but I'm probably never going to forget my time at this job. I know it sounds silly, but these people actually mean something to me! A lady I'm working with tomorrow (my last day) I worked with on my first day. I painted her a photo and it's now in her living room as the centerpiece of the room. I gave her a dog, we shared so many laughed, she bought be scratch offs, we played pranks, we had a ball working together. And there's about three other girls I've worked with for a year or more that I've had a great time with as well, and we're all so close!

I'm just stuck on words and I would really like to say something great about the whole workplace family. I'd just like some ideas to start me off. The beginning is always the hardest part, but once I got that, I'm good!

So any ideas on how to say a last [virtual] goodbye? Thanks!

  • Weird feeling while using tea tree oil?

I've got a tiny keloid on the top hole of my industrial piercing, and I know tea tree oil can make it disappear much faster. I've had my industrial for about a month now, and I wash it with dial soap twice a day and soak in a sea salt solution once a day. So I've added a few drops of 100% tea tree oil to that solution today to help with the healing process of the keloid. This morning, I made the same solution and tested a bit on my arm to see if I'd have a reaction to it, and it was fine. So I soaked my ear.

Nothing turned red and I didn't break out into hives or anything, but as I was laying there with my ear in a bowl, it felt like part of my face that was in the bowl had moved out of the bowl and was getting colder. It didn't bother me much but then I felt it on my ear, by the bottom hole of my industrial. The feeling just increased and I took my head out of the bowl because I thought something might be wrong, but everything looked fine in the mirror. I added more water to the bowl (diluting the oil even more) and finished the soak.

What the heck was this feeling? It wasn't unbearable, it wasn't even painful. It was just a strange feeling...Is this normal when using tea tree oil?

  • What to do about a throbbing piercing?

I've had my industrial for about a month now and I've got a small hypertrophic scar on it. I've been using chamomile tea compresses and tea tree oil on it for less than a day now, but for the last couple of days I've noticed it occasionally throbs where the scar is. Mostly when I'm nervous, embarrassed, have a mini heart attack moment...things that make the blood rush to my face. It's annoying more than anything. Is this normal?

And how long (usually) does it take for hypertrophic scars to go away using chamomile and tea tree oil?

  • Tea tree oil on piercings?

I've got a tiny little keloid on the top hole of my industrial, and I'm using tea tree oil to get rid of it. I have 100% tea tree oil, and I'm just wondering if I use JUST tea tree oil on it or if I should dilute it with some water then let my ear soak in it. If I need to dilute it, how much water should I use for 2-3 drops?

  • Using tea tree oil to help keloid/hypertrophic scar?

Well, I'm pretty sure I have a keloid/hypertrophic scar. And I've read on quite a few websites that tea tree oil will fix it, but it's not super specific on now much to use when using it. I don't want to over do it and harm my piercing even more, or under do it and just waste time. I've got an industrial piercing, and I soak it in 1 cup of warm sea salt water once a day for about 8 minutes. I've read that you can add the tea tree oil to the salt water solution to help keloids disappear, but how much should I add, for those of you that have done it? And please be more specific than "a few drops"! Thanks!

  • Industrial piercing issue?

I've had my industrial piercing for about a month now, and I've been cleaning it the same way every day, no problem. Dial soap and water twice a day, and a sea salt solution soak once a day. I've been keeping my hair away from it, and I haven't slept on the piercing at all.

In the past few days though, I noticed a little bump looking thing on the side of the top hole of my industrial. It's maybe the side of a pimple, nothing too big. It's red, but my ear has been pretty red because of all the southern heat and it trying to heal. I haven't touched it or anything, but when my q-tip hits it when cleaning it hurts. I ran a dry q-tip over it today to see if there was any drainage, and nothing, completely dry. But it's almost like a blister - it goes down when something goes over it and comes right back up. I usually don't notice it unless it's very hot and the sun's on it, then it'll start to throb/hurt just slightly. And right after I got it pierced my whole ear flared up and got red and puffy because of the heat, but I've been on anti-inflammatories for it. I'm still taking anti-inflammatories since it's been over 100 almost every day and I do not want that happening again! Also, I'm not taking my piercing out, under any circumstances!

I'm just wondering what the heck the little blistery looking bump could be, and how I can get rid of it? I'm going to continue cleaning it as I have been, but is there anything else I can do?

*If you recommend oils, is that safe to use on a new piercing?
