I am wanting to send a flash drive to a friend who lives in London and am wondering if the information on the flash drive can be erased if the security screeners x-ray the package? The information on the drive is too large to email, so yes, it needs to be done this way.

Last night I was going through some photos and I renamed them by highlighting them and then right clicking to rename. I gave them the name I wanted and a (1) like this behind it, knowing Windows would renumber the rest of the photos accordingly. However, I noticed that the first 12 or so photos all got numbered like this (1) (1) (2) (2)...Meaning there were two number ones, two number twos and so on. I noticed some pictures were jpegs and PNG files and and that computer renamed them according to file type. However in another folder, all of which were jpeg files, the got numbered in this bizzare way as well. Does anyone have any idea why this happend? Should I be concerned about a future problem? Any advice would be great. I am using Windows 7 and I have seen this now on a Toshiba and a HP laptop.

Anyone know the name of the first song performed by The National on Saturday Night Live tonight?

I have Windows XP and am having problems copying files to a CD. When I send the files over to the D drive (I only have one writable drive) the files take forever. It takes 50 minutes or so to copy the files to the CD. The actual burning of the CD takes only a few minutes. I am using a standard 700 MB CD. This is a refurbished computer. As far as I know this is the original drive that came with the computer when purchased. Is there anything I can do, check out, and speed up this process?

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a technical name for when a woman lures a man into bed at a hotel, only to tie him up, possibly robbing him of all his cash, and leaves him there? I know I've seen this done in television shows such as "Seinfeld" and "Two and a Half Men" and even movies. Have there been studies about this kind of behavior and is there a name for it?

How much recording/playing time is there available on each side of a vinyl 12" record? For example, I can put 80 minutes of music on a CD, so how much would I be able to put on a vinyl record, before I had to use a second record.

I am hoping someone can tell me the difference between twirlers and majorettes. I know a lot marching bands have both (or one or the other including a feature twirler and color guard) and still, I really don't seem to know the difference other than majorettes wear boots (at least most of the time). And yet, both groups have batons that are twirled. Are the terms 'twirler" and "majorette" interchangeable or is there a real difference?

If you can help me out to understand this better, then I'd love to hear from you.

I have a question for dancers or a fashion enthusiast out there. I recently saw a picture of a group of dancers wearing tan fishnets over their tan dance tights. There were no rhinestones or anything embedded in the fishnets either. Why would they do this? Wouldn't the fishnets blend into the already solid, matte tights? What is the look they are going for here? I would think you would have to be standing next to them to even notice the fishnets. I have heard of layering fishnets over tights before, although they were opposite colors such as black fishnets over matte or shiny tan tights or purple tights or whatever. I am just curious and if anyone would care to educate me, I would appreciate it.

I am searching for a book I used to own on the Space Shuttle Challenger. I believe it was published by US NEWS & WORLD REPORT. It's got a picture of the crew on the cover and on top it says something like "from the editors of US News & World Report." It's a small, mass market paper back book. I seem to recall the spine was white with blue lettering. It could have been red, I don't remember exactly. Did yuppies have time in their lives for religion? Was it en vouge at the height of yuppie power to go to church and worship? Or had a new religion come into play, such as New Age or something else? Or would religion and the idea of acknowledging a higher power go against everything such as consume, consume and consume some more?

Of course I am using sterotype here; only what I have read about and seen in movies, so if you can enlighten me and educate me a little bit more, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have been looking at pictures of the F-4 U Corsair and have noticed that some models have three propellers, while some of them have four. What is the difference between these two? What does the extra propeller add to the aircraft?

Also a side question, does the Corsair have any kind compartment for storage? Nothing too large I would imagine, but something that would hold a bag or even a small box?

Is there a great color finder website out there that will allow me to upload or use a link from the internet to find out what is the color? I don't need color codes as I am not looking to use this in a program, but rather I need to go and find the actual color at a paint a store.
