Ok, so don't scream or shout cos I don't need that right now! Well, it all started before, I sprayed my rat with Anti-mite spray and he was fine, (I have four) so I decided to spray the others. So as I was spraying the second rat he freaked out, so as any loving rat owner would do I stopped immediatly. I thought I would calm him down by giving him a little stroke and a hug but as I did he bit me. Now this was no warning bite, he bit me to the point where it drew blood and I was almost taken to hospital for stitches.

Do any of you guys think that it was just a bite because he was scared and wanting to defend himself, or was it something else?

I am a little worried because he attacked the alpha male afterwards, I am a little scared to place Theodore (the alpha male) back in the cage with Sam(the biter) because Theo is very old, almost three and is very very skinny so any serious bites could kill him as he has no fat to protect him. Any advice and ideas would be greatly welcome!!
