  • Why don't we just build a new shuttle?

Today Discover lifted off for the final shuttle mission...since we dont yet have a replacement vehicle, why didnt NASA just build a brand new shuttle to keep flying another decade...they could always use one of the older shuttles as the emergency back-up, or just build two new shuttles? I know they are very expensive vehicles, but what is the alternative? rockets and replying on the Russians? I am sure somebody already thought about this, but I never heard any mention or discussion about it...any ideas?

  • How long for paint to dry?

I just painted my bathroom/shower area with a good exterior paint. The label says it drys to the touch in one hour and can be recoated in four hours. How long should I wait before using the shower? When someone takes a shower the whole bathroom gets pretty humid and the shower water falls directly on some of the newly painted areas. Thanks for advice.

  • Facebook FARM VILLE expansion question?

Hi. I have a farm on Facebook Farm Ville game. I have 10 neighbors and my farm has been expanded accordingly. I am wondering what will happen if one or some of my neighbors stop being neighbors or even Facebook friends altogether. If I suddenly had fewer neighbors would I still get to keep my expansion or does it revert back to the smaller original size?

  • Quality of Rock Island Armory (Armscor) guns and ammo?

I have been looking at a Rock Island Armory shotgun by Armscor, made in the Philippines. It looks pretty decent and its a great price. I am just wondering if anyone has had experience with any Armscor firearms and what quality is it? I have seen that they make ammo too, anybody ever use it? I know that you get what you pay for and these are cheap, but are they ok or is it better to get something better? I wont be shooting this particular gun a lot but just always wanted to own a shotgun, don't have one at the moment, and cant put too much money into one right now...

  • Question about my computer's CURSOR?

I use a Dell Latitude D600 laptop with Windows XP system. I recently had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall everything. Ever since doing that I am having trouble with the cursor. I can be typing along normally and suddenly the cursor will just jump to another location causing me to get my documents all screwed up. Or it will just jump down to the "start" button. Its uncontrollable and unpredictible and a major pain! Also since reinstalling that little button between the "g", "h" and "b" buttons that also controls the cursor is now functioning but it never worked before. Are these two things related? How can I resolve the problem? Thanks...

  • Question about "Breaking In" a new firearm?

I have several firearms of different types, and I cant say that any of them gave me any serious issues even from the first round fired...but they do seem to get smoother the more I shoot them and of course I keep them all very well maintained. Some people talk about "breaking in" a new gun? or the gun may have some malfunctions while you are "breaking it in?" While I get the idea in theory...what does it mean exactly to "break in" a new gun? What happens to the gun? What changes about it after its "broken in"? Thanks for some wisdom on this...

  • Why are some "hunters" offended?

Most of us actually understand that ALL "guns" or "ammo" questions must be posted to the hunting section since there is no dedicated section for gun/shooting/ammo/etc. Most of us understand this and dont have any issues, in fact most of us appreciate all aspects of shooting and hunting and are ok with having it all together in one place...but WHY do a few, and I repeat a few "Hunters" take offense when some ask about a handgun, or defense, or something that may not be directly related to hunting? Are these people true hunters? or just bitter old men?

  • What is the most powerful yet common rifle?

Can you name what you think is the most powerful, yet still very commonly found everywhere, hunting rifle and caliber? Surely some idiot is going to say .50BMG or something, but I am not talking about some tactic-cool gun...I am looking for something pretty common and easy to find pretty much anywhere, yet is very powerful? I look forward to your opinions....
