  • My iPhone 4S has stopped working?

Hi. My iPhone 4S stopped working last week and hasn't fixed itself yet. The symptoms of the problem are as follows:

    1. it's mainly unresponsive. no apps work, they crash upon opening them

    2. there's no active internet connection (3G, E, GPRS or WiFi)

    3. when i try to enter my password to disable 'find my iphone' it "times out" so I'm unable to do that

    4. it doesn't transmit or receive signal from internet/ GSM

Things I've tried to make it work:

    1. restore, reset, hard reset

    2. sign in and out of apple ID/ icloud etc

    3. factory reset

    4. re-seating the sim card

Is there anything else I can do to fix it? Plus, is it a software or hardware problem?

    Specs:

    iPhone 4S 16GB

    GSM

    Locked on O2

It has no water damage, it's never been dropped and has genuinely been taken care of properly.

    Thanks for any help.

  • How to enable the display ports on my motherboard?

Hi I built a new computer about 2 weeks ago and I need to use 2 monitors however I don't see the point wasting money on an adapter for DVI-d to VGA on the graphics card when I could just use the VGA port on my motherboard, which is currently deactivated. Is there a way to activate it?

P.s. I've looked in the bios, I can't change it to enable the VGA port on the motherboard.

    Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-P33 (1x DVI-D, 1x VGA)

    GPU: Asus NVIDIA GT640 (2x DVI-D, 1x HDMI, 1x VGA)

  • Would I be able to use an SCSI HDD with my computer?

I built a completely new computer a few days ago and I'm a bit strapped for cash to buy a new hard drive. I would get a 1TB HDD for storage and a 64gb SSD for Windows but they're too expensive, so I thought I could buy 1 or 2 x300gb SCSI hard drives which are about £30-40 each, and they're faster than normal HDDs but a bit slower than SSDs. Anyway, are they compatible and what connectors do they use?

    spec:

    Mobo: MSI-FM2-A75MA-P33

    PSU: Corsair CX430M

    O/S: Windows 7 Ultimate 64

    Case: Coolermaster N200

    Fans:

    1x standard AMD fan

    5x artic cooling case fans

  • I accidentally purchased an item on eBay...?

I accidentally purchased la-noire on eBay when purchasing another item and eBay added LA Noire to the final invoice wirthout me noticing meaning I paid for it when I didn't mean to... So, I'm out of pocket, this person hasn't delivered it nor responded to my requests to cancel the transaction and on PayPal there's no way to settle the dispute. I don't want to call them, it costs a lot of money. How do I get a refund?

  • What's the best graphics card for under £70 which can play good games at good quality?

I play GTA IV on my current system and I have to have the quality settings to a mininum... Is there are a GPU which could outperform my current Nvidia GeForce GT640? Because it's adequate for anything except high end games, which I like to play on the PC.

Thanks. Remember, £70 is the budget.

  • Would this computer be worth buying considering its age?

I am tempted to buy a Fujtsu Siemens Esprimo E5925, and I know that it's quite an old computer however it has a very good processor and not bad specs. Also, I have owned an E5916 and it was a very good computer and had lower specs. The specs are as follows and it costs £99, is it worth it for using it for gaming (GTA SA, IV maybe and some other games) and youtube, etc?

    INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q9300 @ 2.5GHZ

    2GB RAM

    250GB HDD

    INTEL Q35v PRO (chipset)

Coupled with an Nvidia GEFORCE Gt 610 or maybe a newer ATI radeon will this be good?

    Thanks.

  • Why do videos not work properly on my laptop?

Hi, I'm quite an avid watcher of videos on YouTube however, they stop working all of a sudden, most of the time. For example, I'm listening to a song and then I go to another webpage on another tab and it stops buffering and stops completely. I know for a fact that it's not a problem with my internet because it works fine on my other computers on other browsers too. What could I do to make them work? It only does it on my laptop. (specs below)

    laptop:

    toshiba satellite l450d-128

    amd athlon 64 x2 ql-65 @ 2.10ghz

windows 7 home premium 64 bit

    main browser: google chrome.

  • Why are my computer's fans going much faster than usual?

Hi, I have a fujitsu siemens esprimo e5916 and the fans on it are stock. There's a heat sink for the processor with no thermal grease (well, a bit), and a heat extractor fan. I recently upgraded the processor from a 1.86ghz dual core to a 2.53ghz dual core and the fans while the 1.86ghz processor were going almost silently while maintaining a good temperature. However, after the upgrade, and reattaching the heat sink and the extractor fan, the fans gradually get faster during the start up and they stay like that until I shut it down again.

To try and slow them down I have used BIOS settings and software (speed fan) and none of them have made a difference. Is there any way I can make them slower? Unless my processor needs that speed but I don't think it does.

    Thanks!

  • What happens when you buy something from a different country on eBay?

Hi, I was just wondering about buying things internationally on eBay.. I mean, if I go onto eBay UK and buy something from America, when I pay for the item do they get £ or does the payment convert into $? For example if I buy something for $1 but I pay with my £ paypal, do they get £s or do they get $s? I don't know if this is a silly question but I've always wondered.

  • How do I fake an active internet connection? (CM10-Android Jellybean)?

Hi I'm a little OCD and I'm just wondering about the status bar.. You see, when I have an active connection to either wifi or my mobile network (3G,EDGE,GPRS) etc, the bars for the signal are blue however when I don't have an active internet connection, they turn grey; which bugs me. How do I fake an internet connection or simply make them blue again?

    P.s. it's CM10 for the Samsung Galaxy s2 with a stock theme.

  • Will a more updated processor fit and work in my motherboard?

Hi, my processor is getting a little outdated and I'm just wondering whether I'll be able to replace the processor in my computer to a more updated one? The socket is LGA775 and according to the manufacturer it can take the following processors:

    - Intel Pentium 4

    - Intel Pentium D

    - Intel Core 2 Duo (current)

Currently, my processor is a intel core 2 duo E6300 at 1.86ghz.

If I buy an up to date one, such as the SL9ZL will it work properly?

    Thanks!

    Fujitsu siemens esprimo e5916

    motherboard: D2348-A3

    Bios: 6.00 R1.07.2348.A3

  • How do you represent a plural ending in 's'?

I had a look on Google but nothing was specific enough.

I know about the rule: 'plurals are never res represented by an apostrophe' but I can't seem to work out how you end a word in a plural which ends in 's' such as ellipsis.

    How do you do it?

P.s. - I know that possession uses apostrophes and shortening words.. But a friend told me you just put an apostrophe at the end.. But I'm unsure.

    Thanks!
