  • My dog shakes whenever I talk to him or pet him?

He's a 6 year old beagle and he never used to do this before. He's started shaking pretty regularly, but it's only when I either look at him, pet him, or talk to him. So I'll be sitting beside him and he'll be fine but as soon as I talk to him (not yelling, just in a normal voice), he'll start shaking. Or if I pet him, he'll shake. He'll stop shaking when I'm done petting but as soon as I start again he shakes.

I have never abused him, laid a hand on him etc. He has only known love and affection from me, and this is a recent development.

Could it be an attention thing? When it first started I tried to calm him down and soothe him by talking to him gently and petting him softly, and maybe now he correlates shaking with that sort of attention? I have no idea.

If anyone has had experiences like this, advice would be great.

  • What happens to the early generations of Bengal cats?

I heard that you should only buy a Bengal cat that is in its 4th generation from the primary crossing between the domestic and the Leopard cat. Well, what happens to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations? I assume that breeders only keep some for breeding purposes, so what happens to the others if they are not able to be sold? They aren't euthanized, are they?

  • Pet-sitting a dog while having a dog of my own?

So, my friends are leaving me their dog with me for the weekend. My dog and this dog get along okay, but I'm concerned about when I leave. I crate my dog, but my friend's dog isn't crated. Would crating my dog cause him to feel vulnerable if there is another dog that is uncrated? If so, what would be the best way to leave them alone in the house if I have to leave?

My dog is more submissive than their dog, btw.

  • Cool things to be good at that no one else is?

I want a new hobby/skill/sport. Can anyone think of something that's really unique that most people don't do that I could try? Nothing common like taking up soccer or playing the piano. I used to be a synchronized swimmer which isn't the most common sport, and it was great. Best answer for the most creative/interesting hobby!

  • My leg hurts to touch?

If I scratch my thigh or bump it gently against a table it hurts as if it were bruised. Just the slightest pressure hurts but I can't see any bruises. It hurts anywhere on my thighs but there isn't any visible sign of damage. Any ideas?

  • Been taking accutane for 2 weeks with no side effects?

I read that most people get their initial breakout at around two weeks, and that side effects such as dry skin and cracked lips should be apparent. I have neither so far....am I just lucky or maybe the medication isn't working?

    Any suggestions?

  • What is the best structure for an IB English Oral Commentary?

We are given either a passage from a play or a poem and we have 20 minutes to organize notes for an oral commentary. How does IB like the commentary to be structured? If it's a play, should I first give context to the whole play and where that passage fits in, or just go right into the meaning of the passage? And if it's a poem, do I talk about the poet's stylistic aspects first, or integrate that into the analysis?

Any websites or docs that give guidelines about this would be very helpful :)

  • What is an oil that does not have antibiotic properties?

I am doing a lab in bio concerning the resistance/susceptibility of e. coli with Tea tree oil, which has antibiotic properties. I have to have 5 conditions, so my teacher suggested using the concentration as my condition. If I were using honey, for example, I would dilute it with water but since oil and water do not mix, what other oil (olive, vegetable?) can I use that is neutral- does not have antibiotic properties?

I hope this question makes sense. Also, if you have any idea on how to measure the concentration of said oil with the tea tree oil, that would be great because I am very new to this kind of lab work :)

Can someone explain how to do this question in detail?

    Thanks!

    a. Expand (3/4 + 1/4)^5

    b. In New Zealand in 1946 there were two different coins of value two shillings. These were "normal" kiwis and "flat back" kiwis, in the ratio 3:1. From a batch of 1946 two shilling coins, five were selected at random with replacement. What is the probability that:

    1. Two were flat backs

    2. at least 3 were flat backs

    3. at most 3 were normal kiwis?

  • Do I count as an international student? And should I take SATS?

I live in Europe but I am Canadian, I was born there and lived there for half my life. My parents are Canadian diplomats. I want to study back home in Canada for Uni, but my friend says I need to apply as an international student? I thought I was a Canadian student, can anyone clarify this?

And also, this friend says that SATs are highly recommended for some universities such as McGill. Is that true? Do they take SATs into such high consideration that it is worth taking? I am not applying to anywhere except Canada so I didn't think I would need the SATs.

    Thanks!

  • Is an addiction to horror movies/thrillers bad after the death of a loved one?

So basically, someone in my family died recently and I'm finding that I can't watch comedies/romance/action movies anymore, mostly horror.

I think it's because every movie, even comedies, seem to have a death involved. I don't why, maybe to add depth to the story.

Horror movies obviously have death in it, but it's not serious, real or even plausible.

I don't know if this is normal, or if anyone did the same thing during grieving?

And please no mean comments, this is a hard time for me and my family and I just want to know if this is normal or not.
