For Men ONLY: Why do they do this?
Can I get a sound, reasonable explanation, as to exactly why men whom you have have either recently met or who don't really know you that well, feel the need to tell women how great they would look if only they would lose 10 pounds? I have had men tell me, Young AND Old, if looking at an old picture.."THAT'S YOU??!!!??" "WHAT HAPPENED?", "You Know, If you only Lose 10 pounds, you would be perfect"....O.K. Yes I could lose a few pounds, but I am by no means Jabba the Hut. I also have a figure 8 (albeit 3 sizes bigger) but I like how & where I put on the pounds. I gain in all the right places, so to speak, and I am told by many that I am pretty. I am not talking about men who perhaps have grown up in another country and so the formalities may be different. I have posed this question to a group of women & we don't really have an answer. It seems so bizarre to us. I have recently been told by a male coworker how "sexy" I was when I first started years ago and that I should lose weight. Ok...uh...do men not know that women don't really want to HEAR that? Do they think we don't already know? What is the deal? And how would a MAN respond if I volunteered the same helpful advice to them? Does this mean that if I went out with a guy on the first date and told him that he should lose weight because he has man boobs that he would NOT be offended and would view this as me being helpful? They always say it in such an innocent way, but its a little offensive and annoying.
If you are a man who does this PLEASE respond and tell me WHY and also tell me if you received the same comments from women if it would be ok as well?
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture9 years agoMy daughter's father keeps bringing me to court and not showing up. Can i sue for lost wages?
How many times should I be dragged into court because the dead beat wants a reduction in child support? He never shows up and yet I miss out on a day of work for no reason. I have been dragged into court 4 times and a 5th time is currently scheduled. No penalty is imposed on him for doing this. What are my rights with regards to this foolishness? Can I sue him for lost wages?
7 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoUnsavory smell in apartment. How to maintain a pleasant one?
I have a roommate who cooks food and when I come home that's the first thing I smell. She opens the window a little when cooking, then closes it back, but doesn't do much else to relieve the smells of fried chicken or fish. I don't like smelling these odors as soon as I walk in the house as they are unpleasant. Is there anything I can buy that will maintain a deodorized scent every day. She is lazy so it has to be something no-brainer that just absorbs odors without her having to do anything. Please help!

I live on the first floor of an apartment and need to put in an air conditioner. How can I have the air conditioner in the window without the window being able to open to prevent unwanted intruders?
5 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoAnyone know where to buy individual adjustable shelves with perhaps a tension bar?
I have a small armoir that I use to store extra linen. When you open the cabinet doors there is a big wide open space. Are there any individual shelves that I can purchase that adjust lengthwise and stay in place via tension? Or just any adjustable shelves period that I can purchase? That way everything won't topple over from being stacked too high.
