OK I should know this as I am contributor here , but stay with me .

I have 10 parrots , 5 Fischer Lovebirds, 2 Peach face lovebirds, 1 peach face black mask hybrid mule , 1 White Face Latino Cockatiel , and 1 Fancy Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure thats 4 years old named Hollywood. the other day I noticed her feathers did not have the iridescence they used to have so T thought she needed a bath , not the normal bath in her water dish but the full on soaking in the sink in the sink . Today I noticed that she had much more black at her shoulders , not the neck. This seems to be the edges of her feathers are chewed off leaving the edges black.

She has no bald spots or thin spots.

She is out from 3 to 5 hours a day unless she is bad " attacking a female lovebird "

She eats Roudybush California blend mini's mixed with Totally Organic Pellets and a finger pinch of Roudybush rice , KayTee Exact rainbow for a little crunch. then sweet potato, broccoli , carrots and some pasta she will steel off my plate. I also once a week cook Higgins passage to india for the birds. ( I prefer the Tuscan Dream but ordered the wrong number and want to use it up first).

Now I see some white dots at the end of some of the feathers but with my old man eyes the magnifying glass is required but she is afraid of it . might just be the remains of a bird pooping above her. Cant tell.

Weight is level at 80 grams ( she is good sized )

poop is well enough formed with distinctive white and green. ( my tiel is always better formed )

She is very active, but did not want to take a bath today, very unusual .

I keep it between 75 and 79 degrees in the apartment all year around. it is dry.

the only feathers affected are the shoulders

she could use more sunlight and I will look for a full spectrum bulb this weekend .

feet are nicely pink and not scaly or raw.

Also note that the 3 feathers at the bottom of her cage , a yellow chest feather was perfect , but a green had the tips gone with split ends as if it were chewed

the nearest avian vet is more than an Hour away and my last visit was $380 that I would have to borrow

Ruby preens her ( African Fischer Lovebird male) but the self preening seems to have increased.

any thoughts , is this just pre molting picking ,

Angel The Tiel is molting like crazy, Looks like snow under her cage yet she has all her feathers . and looks well groomed all the time .

OK This question is for any one that grew up in Japan.

And I ask this with the greatest respect .

Japan has a ancient recorded history and has documented almost everything of importance .

Due to Japans location within the ( Ring Of Fire) japan has most likely been devastated by Earth Quakes and major Tsunamis for thousands of years .

The school system within Japan is very good so I surmise that at some point they have mentioned the above disasters that may have been recorded as much as a thousand years ago . Perhaps more.

What is taught about the earthquakes and or Tsunamis of the old past . Anything ?

Also , I dont want any trolls fishing for points.

At any rate , My prayers go out to all those people effected by this great Quake .

I recently saw a pair of Solid White Cockatiels with no colorings at all , they looked like miniature Cockatoos but sadly they were already sold . So does any one out there know where any are bred . or where someone has one they would like to sell. Just looking for the information .

I have missed the last 2 and I am not on any mailing lists so who ever knows about the up coming bird shows or bird fairs let me know , Also I have 7 parrots now with a special fondness for Fischers Lovebirds . I have Conures and Quakers . I would really love to get a hand raised bird or hand feed a bird myself and I have done this many times .

Another person asked this question last month and I was un able to answer it at that time ( I did not see it at that time ) and I wanted to answer it like this . If I had the most beautiful home in the world with the most beautiful garden in the world , I would still stop and and take the time to gaze upon a beautiful sunset , an another home with another beautiful garden . I can appreciate it for what it is and be warmed by its beauty. It would not mean I feel the need to possess it . Nor would it mean I wish to take anything away from my land , my home and garden. It would be rude of me to"ogle" another woman while with my date , but not rude to just take in the view . A woman would have to be very insecure to think that a look is some sort of slight directed at her .

So my real question is - does any one disagree with me ?

My next door neighbor's boy friend seemed to have a dream , ( he said it was real) Early in the morning he said 3 black nuns were knocking on my door and were doing so for a while . Fully dressed in nun attire . No one else saw or heard anything . After a while they just went away. It was around 3 AM in a secure gated apartment complex .

OK Hears the deal , My Quaker was stolen/ lost 2 weeks ago and I am in the market for a new bird . But it has been a while since I have bought one . I have had a Cockatoo in the mid 80's , Cockatiels , Conures , and I have raised from days past hatching . All of successfully . Now I would be willing to pay a rehoming fee . or getting a bird that requires hand feedings. I will give a bird lots of attention and a huge cage . I was given a wild Love bird to fill the silence for now and we may yet become buddies . He was found outside in a chicken coop. so he is wild but I think he is quite surprised that I let him fly around the room during the day. Problem is he is to small for the cage I have . He can squeeze through the bars . Not good

Now , I would like to know what I should expect to pay for different birds both from hand feedings , Problem birds ( plucker's) and older birds .I only want 1 good sized bird bit I am interested in a Rosella , Cockatoo , Quaker , Conure , or a Amazon parrots,and senegal in particular , most any medium sized to larger birds .I would love a macaw but I know I cannot afford it.unless it is a neglected plucker . NO Louries . I only plan on having one larger bird with this love bird .( NOT IN THE SAME CAGE). I am planning on keeping the bird as a companion. It will not be left alone much at all. I work where I live so being away is being in another room . I can deal with problems like plucking and noise but not a bird that attacks everything that comes near it , that would be a damaged bird beyond my patients. If it bites , no problem , if it breaks the skin , no problem, if it tries to snap off my finger, problem!

this love bird is right now on my computer screen , not bad for a wild bird aeh ? we will be friends soon.

So if someone could take the time to tell me how much money I should expect to pay in different situations I would appreciate it. Please , no full price expensive birds, I can tell you now I will not be able to afford it. For the right bird, I might be interested in eating nothing but romen noodles for 2 months and then come up with about $600.

I don't really need a cage but that does not mean I wont make use of one. A smaller nice cage would be used as an indoor cage and my large cage would be used as an outdoor cage.

I have a MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.16 Ghz 4 GB ram 120G HD

Has been working flawlessly for near 3 years , 4 months ago I replaced the HD with a new one of the same due to errors.

Working on it last night and was working fine then I heard an audible click and felt on the keyboard what felt like a light pencil tap and the screen went black and at the same time the light in front of the computer that normally indicated sleep mode came on but it came on steady , It refused to (wakeup) . I shut down the computer holding the power key Many times , Removed the battery , Restarted the computer many times and it always returns to the same condition . Light on steady , black screen. I even tried to boot from a external HDD with OS 10.4.9 , Same condition. The backlight flashes on for a split second every time I restart . then goes off.

I can replace anything that goes bad on this computer but I cannot afford to throw money into parts not knowing what is actually bad . I have no way to test . Warrentee is out now .

I am thinking logic board , Maybe inverter

I do not want answers from PC nuts

I would like a reasonable answer from someone that knows MacBooks

I know that it does remove moisture from the air in an enclosed area and my question is , what is the process that it works by , is it simple absorption or is there some chemical reaction that takes place splitting the oxygen off from the hydrogen ? leaving only the gases . or perhaps a reaction creating other gases,

As a side note , If you drop a cell phone in a toilet , pool and or any body of water , emediate action should be remove the battery , shake out the excess water out of the phone and get a zip lock bag and fill with uncooked dry rice then place the OPEN phone with the battery removed and the battery separately from the phone then close the bag and leave for a day or two. and then remove from the bag , Make sure there is no rice stuck in the phone battery well and replace the battery and cover , recharge and turn on . You will find that everything is A-OK .

Remember Removing the battery is the most important thing . Leaving the battery in place creates electrolysis and this is what does the damage .

So this having been said , when the rice is removed , it does not even seem damp and this is why I would like to know what the process is so you science teckies out there please answer , idiots need not answer, like the ones that recommended oatmeal , hoping someone would make a mess of their phone .

I have a Honda GX390 horizontal shaft 4 stroke motor that I would like to convert to electric start if it can be done reasonably , Has anybody done this or know anything about it . I know I would need a new flywheel , charging coil starter and start switch , do I also need a new case half or can it be punched out ?? Let me know please , dont just say yes or no . I need a few details please.

I have a 1987 Moto Guzzi NTX350 that needs parts but the problem is that the model was never imported to the US so the parts have to be shipped from Italy . I don't know if any were ever shipped to Canada . I have to fix some things like new Bearings . It has very low Oil Pressure . The proper throttle control ,Gaskets , seals , etc. So I am not looking for comments on the bike , or people just saying , no I don't know of anyone . Obviously I will pay for what I purchase . and the shipping . I have tried Wildguzzi.com and all the others so if you know of come company or person that can get parts for this specific bike let me know .

Most places want to have their company install it , I can put a door up I dont need to pay $250 to have someone else to put the door up for me . Ihe best price I have found in Houston Texas so far id $444.00 at American Door Products at 7967 Blankenship Dr.

How do I Descale a MiTM 2003 steam pressure washer I have 2 of these steam pressure washers , both well used and the local MiTM Dealer does not do the descaling . I think there is a chemical to use but I don't know what it is or where to get it . Considering the $5906.00 price tag on the units I dont want to mess them up.
