  • Is there something i can use to torque a drill without a clutch in it?

At work im using an electric driver that cant adjust its torque. Is there an extension i can buy that will allow me to torque it down? Even if its fixed at a relitively low torque that would be fine.

  • what type and weight of line should i use?

i got a week on salisbury beach coming up. i want to start fishing again so what better time right? well im not sure what type or weight of line i should be using. from what i understand, stripped bass and blue fish are the major catch's but theres been some weird catches coming in. i think im going with a steel leader because of the blue fish but besides that im clueless. i think mono would be better because its less visible in the water. but ive never used braided before. also i was thinking 20 pound would be a good weight? if i set my drag right i can land a 40 pounder with that right?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/5pcs-21x15x10mm-IC-Aluminu...

would those be enough for the nfets or should i look for bigger?

  • do i understand this correctly?

im reading some code for my c++ final. and im not 100% sure i did this correct.

"Block* blockPtrs[4];" this makes an array of pointer to a class "block" my question is just this, would the memory allocated for the pointer be in the main memory or in the class "block": memory. this is for a memory map.

    thanks all

  • Best way to attach something to particle board?

Im doing a project for my college and i want it to be done correctly. I think the desks are made from metal and particle board. I need to attach a light peice of metal to the wood part but im worried normal screws would split or damage the desks. The peices are light but they will be touched often and might be bumped. Is screwing them in the best plan or should i look into epoxy of some sort? Thanks for any help

  • is there a program i can use to grab all the pictures, docs, music and videos off a computer automatically?

basically im looking for a program i can install on a flash drive to grab all the basic back-up-able files off a computer, videos and music would be a bonus but the pictures is a must. it would also be nice if i can use this with a live boot mini xp. because the OS is completely fried from where im trying to back up from. i think i saw a few programs ages ago that blindly did it, i dont care if it grabs unwanted stuff just need all the pics off the computer.

    any ideas?

  • Would i be able to ride an average bike?

Ok ill cut to the chase. Im very heavy about 400 pounds and 6'3". Me and my girlfriend both want to loose some wieght by biking 7 miles a day all summer. She has 2 average 10 speed bikes down stairs that havent been used in 5 yrs. Would a normal bike/tire/tube hold my weight? The last time i tried to ride a bike was 6 yrs ago and it was a bmx bike. The back tire blew out and ive just never tried to ride again cause i think im too heavy. So can the average tire hold my wieght on streets, or should i look for something better? If at all possible something to mod the exsisting bikes as money is tight atm.

  • laplace transform of y, is it the same thing as Y(s)?

transform the given IVP into an algebraic equation in the s-domain and find Y(s)......

NO im not asking to solve my home work..... but i took the laplace transform for both sides and solved for "L{y}" where L{y} is the laplace transform. my question is, am i at the end if my teacher is just asking me for Y(s)? ie L{y}=s-1, would Y(s)=s-1 ?

i tried doing the inverse but it sounds like i need to keep without doing the inverse.... teacher isnt answering emails either lol

  • measure mutual inductance?

i have a transformer, 115V in and 12.6V out. (thats end to end, 6.3V from end to neutral.) i have access to an lcr and i just need to try to figure out mutual inductance so i can accurately map this transformer. i came across a formula that told me to measure each side, then hook them into series and measure that. (lt being both in series) ive come with the measurement 735mH = L1 7.4mH = l2 and 925mH = LT. the formula said M=(LT-(L1+L2))/2. but then with M= K (sqrt) L1*L2 (sqrt) the K comes to 1.2ish...... that cant happen. so is there another way to measure the mutual inductance? also can you tell me if i messed up some where or is that formula bs?

    thanks for all the help

  • differences in basic batteries?

is it only the current potential of the batteries ? (AAA AA C D) i thought all of them were 1.5v (depending on the used materials of course.)

i was just wondering if using a AA -> D battery adapter would be ok to use? i have a few air pumps for my fish tank that goes off D and loads of rechargeable AAs thinking the rechargeable can be used to cut costs for use in a power outage
