If atheism is a rejection in the belief in God, usually based on science, exactly where is this scientific evidence that God does not exist?

Based on the posts on this cite, atheists tend to believe theists to be foolish for believing in something which they believe we cannot prove, however, is it not just as foolish to reject a belief in something that you cannot disprove? For example, if someone had told me that the atom existed and I rejected it because I could not see it but couldnt prove that it wasn't there, who is the fool?

Since the central question of where did we come from and how did we get here has not yet been proven (remember, the Big Bang is a theory, and at this point almost impossible to prove), nor has the origin of matter question been answered, it seems that it makes the atheist who blindly disbelieves without imperical proof no more intelligent than the theist who blindly believes.

I have always been straight with absolutely no attraction to men at all, however, I find certain transgender women extremely attractive and it doesn't seem to matter so much that they have the same equipment as me.

I have a friend of a friend who knows the "real" Robert Shelton. Apparently back in the day he had a little "jungle fever" and illegitimately fathered 2 children with a black woman. When he she left him because he was on welfare and poor. He threatened her and was later assailed by 2 strapping brothas. They butt raped him and left him on the side of the road. He was found by the local police in the morning, covered in his own filth and the incident was reported in the papers.

Ever since he has hated black people...

I preface this quest with this: I am not a gay basher or anything & while its not for me I have no desire to put anyone else down for their preferences. to each their own.

My quest is why compare yourselves to animals? I've seen the documentaries regarding homosexual activity in the animal kingdom, but ive never seen "homosexual" animals on these shows. I have never seen two animals of the same sex in a "relationship." While i have seen a male wolf hump another male wolf, iv'e never seen them either make or raise puppies together. Male animals, much like prisoners, hump other male animals to show dominance-not because they are gay. If my dog humps my leg; that doesnt make him gay. Animals hump other animals, well, because they're animals. It seems demeaning for gays to use that as support. Lots of stuff happens in nature to both mammals and non-mammals that is out of the ordinary. Some of it bad, some of it quite useful in certain situations.

Dont you guys feel it is demeaning?

I have been married for over 7 yrs. I married my wife because she was my best friend, a wonderful person and i loved her. She is pretty and I was attracted to her because of those things, but she has always been a bit overweight. We abstained from sex before marriage so it was fun at first.

As the yrs have gone on, she has kinda let herself go some. She's still pretty and a wonderful person but she is 5'4" and 180lbs. Needless to say, im not exactly attracted to her body anymore. What's tough is i am still in very good shape. I am 39 yrs old but am often told that i can pass for around 30 and often have attractive women look at express interest in me. I do not want to cheat but it makes me angry at my wife to just expect that i would never and she can just stay out of shape. We have talked about it and she knows how i feel. Now, she's bothered with me because i never want to have sex. We do it several times a month and thats only because she wants to have a baby soon. any advice?

Look, I am not a soldier and i have never been held hostage, but when i read of the courage of many of the American soldiers who have been captured in various conflicts, as well as the courage of British SAS members whose bravery is unquestioned --- am I the only one that thinks those 15 soldiers sort of sold their own country out by FALSELY admitting guilt after only a week of captivity just so that they could go home?

We all believe in different things and like different things. Fine. But if you really dont believe in something doesnt that make YOU the fool for dedicating sooo much time and engergy to it??? Why not just moooooove on bros?

I noticed that you rarely see someone make a big deal out of any of the hundreds of religions as much as Christianity. Is it the faith itself, the people? Why are they hated so much?
