  • One side of my face more swolen than the other after wisdom tooth surgery?

    I had surgery on Friday, and come Monday night the right side of my face is still pretty swolen, while the other side's swelling has dissipated. the swolen area is between my jaw bones, like in the tissue of the cheek. It feels like a round lump and is tender to the touch and preventing me from opening my jaw very wide. Is this an infection or typical inflammation? my mom said it was an infection but she jumps to conclusions about a lot of things...I don't have a thermometer so I can't check my temperature, but the right side is slightly more red than the left.

  • will taking my birth control an hour and a half late affect anything?

    During a weekend vacation with my boyfriend, we were having sex a pretty decent amount, the day before we headed home I forgot to take my pill until an hour and a half after my usual time, would that affect anything? the time we had sex after that night when I took it a bit late we used a condom also, but I was just wondering if taking it late would affect anything if there was sperm somehow inside of me from a previous night? He pulls out before, but I'm still conscious and paranoid about pre-*** and whatnot.

    lunch: big spinach salad with veggies, beets, and steamed kale, 1/3-1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1 sea salt cumin lassi

    snack: 1 straawberry quest bar

    dinner: 3 slices of baked marinated tofu, 5 super thin slices of honey mustard tofu, some sauteed spinach, a few chunks of beets, 2 slices of a thin loaf of fig bread with almond butter

    1 cookie dough quest bar

    approx how many calories did I consume? I'm shooting for about 1700, did I meet that?

  • can I still lift after a bike accident today?

    I was biking and attempting to change gears on my bike with the weirdest gear switch placement ever, and I managed to run myself into a pole. I smashed my right shoulder into said pole, but was planning to go lift tomorrow. I can see a sizable knot forming, but I went to a yoga class tonight and was relatively fine(range of motion was there but pain when moving it quickly). I'm icing it right now, but I was wondering if it would be a terrible idea to lift tomorrow? Should I just use tomorrow as a cardio day instead? I'd really like to lift, but don't want to dig myself into a real injury. Would it be best to do my chest/tris day, back/bis or legs?

    went to the gym for a heavy leg weight training day

    post workout: 1 scoop whey protein powder, 1/2 cup fat free greek yogurt

    lunch: 4 egg whites with 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, some butternut squash, 1/2 an avocado with 3 tbsp 2% greek yogurt and a few crackers

    dinner: 1/2 cup balsamic roasted tofu, 1 hard boiled egg, 1/3-1/2 cup beets and carrots roasted with a bit of coconut oil, 1/3 cup butternut squash

    dessert: 1 cup fat free greek yogurt, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, some blueberries and strawberries

    breakfast: 1 noosa aussie style yogurt(its a mix of partial fat yogurt with some fruit and a touch of honey, yummm)

    then I went to the gym for an hour and a half and did some intense back/biceps weight lifting and 10 minutes of intervals on the bike

    post workout: shake with 2 tsp fish oil, half cup papaya, 1/2 cup fat free greek yogurt, 1 scoop about time whey protein

    lunch: 5 egg white spinach omlette, with 1/4 an avocado and 1 really tiny sweet potato with a dolop of fat free greek yogurt

    snack: 1 plumb and 1 small and 1 medium carrot that I dipped in almond butter(not sure how much almond butter, wasnt a huge amount, probably like a tbsp or tbsp and a half?)

    I'm trying to gain some lean mass and muscle and strength

    I also worked for 4 hours in a bakery this morning, and did 15 minutes of easy yoga in the afternoon

  • is pregnancy likely at all in this situation?

    I've been on the pill for years, and in the past few months have been super diligent about taking my pill within 10 minutes o the same time every night. My boyfriend and I had sex last thursday, which was during the placebo week, but I had stopped my period the day before that( I take the beginning of each month on thursdays at 9:30 PM, sex was at 4 PM or so), and he pulled out before he came. Is there a possibility of pre-*** having an effect or anything? the penetration was only for about 5-10 minutes because I was slightly uncomfortable about it being placebo week. We've also messed around a few times after that but again, penetration was only for like a couple of minutes. Is there any way at all I could be pregnant? I felt a bit nauceous 2 days ago and a bit today, but I think that might just be me psyching myself out coupled with a new really weird sleep schedule(I woke p at 3:40 AM today for a new job as well as 3:30 AM yesterday)
