    I keep finding out about people posting sexual BS on their story's and need it to stop. I am too the point of banning all social media. But I know this is how kids communicate today, and dont want to turn them into social outcasts. But something has got to give.

  • 06 Dodge Durango electrical problems.?

    It started with the wipers comming on by themselves for just a second. Sometimes it will spray real quickly.

    Then the dashlights and headlights would flash off and on.

    Now the battery drains, but not all the time, and I cannot figure out.

    Anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

  • Need help with career direction.?

    Work is slowing down almost to a standstill due to oil prices. I have been here for 15 years and am ready for a change anyway.

    I have put in two applications for a couple places that require no experience and I think I would like this career path. But it has been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything.

    I need some advice for what I am looking at...

    1. I can attend a trade school for this field and get an associates degree which will "help" me to get into this field. This will take 8 months and I will have to move from my family because it is two hours away. I have spoken with some HR people in the field and they told me this would be good but it still does not mean I will get hired. I cannot move the family because my wife's job is all but supporting us right now and we own our home here. This field is natural gas pipeline tech.

    The school starts in one month. This means I have to live away from family and pay extra rent, etc.

    2. I could hold out and hope I get a call from one of these jobs and hopefully get some on the job type training. But if they dont call within 1.5 weeks I either have to find another option or sign up for college.

    3. I could go to a different trade school that offers a program in a completely different field that is only an hour away. But I am not quite sure I could do the job or that it is right for me. I just dont know much about it. This would be a wind turbine tech.

    Just not sure what to do...

  • Whats the best way to get movies on the go?

    I travel alot. During my travels I will sit for hours. So I am wanting to bring a laptop with me so I can watch movies. But I do not want to pay for expensive mobile internet. So whats the best way to get the free movies or shows and even the ones on netflix to download to your computer so you can watch them later?

    I found one called playlater but it has mixed reviews. So far seems to be the best option I can find for a non-tech savvy person. Anyone have any suggestions.

  • when should you use gimp over inkscape?

    I am a novice when it comes to working with graphic design. Trying to teach myself.

    Recently I created a logo for a company to put on a shirt by using gimp that worked out great.

    I created it with 300 dpi. I made it way oversized so that I could shrink it rather than enlarging it and making it pixelated. Well it still turned out somewhat pixelated after we shrunk it to fit on a t-shirt. Now I have been experimenting with inkscape but I just cant seem to do some of the same stuff with it as I did gimp. I sent the file in PNG so we could keep the transparent background. The printers told me they use some kind of CAD program. They tried explaining but I just could not understand. I did not know you could do images like this with CAD.

    Can you use both on the same image and still produce a non-pixelated image? I am extremely confused about this. People say to use gimp on things like pictures but who wants pixelated pictures?

    Any advice would be great. Completely confused as you can see.

    I heard a story awhile back about a guy from I believe Europe, who wanted to find out why a country so young was succeeding so well. Then after he sailed here he found out it was our education system that was to take credit.

    follow the constitution when the knowingly defy the 14th amendment?

    The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads in part:

    "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the State wherein they reside."

    However, In 1866, Senator Jacob Howard clearly spelled out the intent of the 14th Amendment by stating:

    "Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons. It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States. This has long been a great desideratum in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country."

    This understanding was reaffirmed by Senator Edward Cowan, who stated:

    "[A foreigner in the United States] has a right to the protection of the laws; but he is not a citizen in the ordinary acceptance of the word..."

    Over a century ago, the Supreme Court appropriately confirmed this restricted interpretation of citizenship in the so-called "Slaughter-House cases" [83 US 36 (1873) and 112 US 94 (1884)]13. In the 1884 Elk v.Wilkins case12, the phrase "subject to its jurisdiction" was interpreted to exclude "children of ministers, consuls, and citizens of foreign states born within the United States." In Elk, the American Indian claimant was considered not an American citizen because the law required him to be "not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction and owing them direct and immediate allegiance."

    The Court essentially stated that the status of the parents determines the citizenship of the child. To qualify children for birthright citizenship, based on the 14th Amendment, parents must owe "direct and immediate allegiance" to the U.S. and be "completely subject" to its jurisdiction. In other words, they must be United States citizens.

    Does it just show us the stupidity of dems. or does it show us the stupidity of Americans for believing them?

    After sandy hook, liberals all say damn the constitution we need to start banning guns. "It's for the safety of our children" they all say.

    After capturing one of the boston bombers Conservatives are now saying Damn the constitution. We need to torture this American citizen.

    We quote the constitution only when it benefits our agenda and then damn it when it don't. Just goes to show how smart the founders were when they adopted the document. If we didn't have it no one would have liberty in our country.

    If people's emotions control our country we would have a dictatorship.

  • Why is it hard for people to understand?

    Why is it hard for people to understand that the reason why the federal government has limited powers is because you can't escape the federal government?

    Thats why if it is not listed in the constitution they cannot do it. It is reserved to the states. If your state establishes a religion, you can move to another state. If your state establishes universal healthcare then you can move to another state. But if the federal government does it. You cannot escape it.

    The states were meant to do the experimentation's. We should have 50 different experiments going on right now but we dont. There is Only one giant one that is failing and we cant escape it. Why is it so hard for people to understand this?

    If you were heating water in a metal tank to a certain temp. How would you calculate the time it would take if your inlet temp started at say 38 degrees, and you maintained an outlet temp of 150 degrees?
