I used to be able to smile and feel happy. Now though, I just feel like I'm covered by a veil of darkness. Nothing seems like its worth living for. I just went back to cutting, I never smile (once in a week sometimes), and I just stopped caring about social relationships. I feel like nothing matters and that happiness is just an illusion.

I used to be happy as a kid. Now I am miserable in my life. I dwell on things that happened in my past (being adopted and finding out because of a book my adoptive parents left out) and lately I just can't seem to get happy. I used to drink a lot and also self mutilate (cutting) but now I can't seem to do either. I lost all the joy I once had in my life and now just logically think things out and that makes me miserable. I probably smile maybe once or twice a week now and overall am just unhappy with life. I'm always doing something but still no matter what I feel depressed. How do I get happy again?

I do, I was looking through pictures of Jack when he first came home compared to now. Wow is there a difference.

Legit: How did you pick out your dog?

Relax, Jack is neutered. But when he went in for pre-op, the vet asked me if he had been acting out a lot. I thought the question was weird and said no, why? Well apparently Jack had one of his testicles dropped and the other remained lodged in his abdomen. My question is this, is this a sign of genetic fault? I don't regret neutering him, actually its what my family has done ever since our first mixed breed dog.

one of the police officers mentioned how there are some K9's that get stabbed, shot, beaten, and even killed. My question is, if someone were to say shoot (not kill) a K9 officer, do the human officers have the right to shoot the suspect?

Lately my dreams have gotten worse and worse. First I would be sitting in my room with all the lights off, my computer playing some sort of aggressive music (I never listen to stuff like this) and I just sit at my desk with a knife cutting my wrists over and over. I wake up right before I die. Now 12 days later, I have dreams of killing everyone and destroying everything. I kill every one in my house (I laugh as I do) and then I go from house to house killing more and more people. In my dreams i destroy the world, and it is freaking me out, I wake up freaked out but calm at the same time. What do these dreams mean?

I have had this dream for the past 3 days. I start off as myself, and then I get into an argument with some person (always a different person) and I lose my temper. The sky grows red and I get black wings. Then I feel like I lose all control of myself and the world is engulfed in flames, and death is present everywhere. What does this dream mean? It is really starting to disturb me.

I used to enjoy life with friends, party a lot, study hard, and go out on a constant basis. But now, I feel angry all the time, I reject a lot of people, and I sick of being like this. I was wondering if my history of depression and cutting have anything to do with this.

Yesterday, my mom asked me about breeding my 6 month old GSD. Of course I said out of the question (he's going to be neutered in January). My mom's motive was to "pass along some of his genes". I'm just curious as to the reasons why people breed their pets, other than for profit. I want to know the thinking behind the so called logic.

Hi, last night my chinchilla started to have several sneezing attacks (about 3 sneezes). I use odorless aspen bedding and I checked his eyes, and nose for any discharge and have not found anything. I was just wondering if chinchilla's can get colds and what the method of treatment should be?

my youngest chinchilla passed away today, and i am worried about my other chinchilla. They lived together and did everything together, should I get another chinchilla?

Today (wednesday) my younger chinchilla is sleepy at night and softly barking, he and his older brother broke out of the cage and probably ate something. I am worried about this little guy because he stopped running around (used to jump of walls and sprint really fast, now just moves a little slower and doesnt run)... I also just switched his diet to mazuri for kaytee timothy complete... please give me some ideas on what I should do, he seemed better as time went on, but im still worried.
