Can a motorcycle only license function as a car learners permit?
I've had a motorcycle only licence for years now and really need a car license... I was just wondering if my current licence can function as a learners permit. I mean, the current license shows I have decent amount of road knowlege and compared to a regular learners permit I feel like it would show a lot more experience.
If anyone has dealt with something like this before I would really appreciate feedback.

I'm writing a program and my brain is having a hell of a time trying to figure out the equation for this.
Basically I have a bar that will be moving based on an input frequency, I want that bar to move up or down based on the upper bound and lower bound I set for it, but the distance needs to be fixed.
Essentially... I have a distance that is 100 pixels apart. When the input frequency hits the upper limit then I want it to hit the 100 pixel mark, when the input frequency hits the lower limit, I want it to hit the 0 pixel mark. We'll call X our variable, U our upper limit, and L our lower limit.
What I have now is... X*(100/(U-L)) = Position in pixels
Is that correct or am I just getting blinded by the 100milion variables I'm dealing with in my raw equation (not the one here)?

I'm sure those who have even heard of a college have heard of ramen noodles. They're easy to make, cheap as hell, can last for forever in the pantry, and taste pretty darn good.
So I'm wondering if there are any other foods out there that meet most, if not all of those qualifications. It can be quite a pain when you have 20 minutes to go from class to an 8 hour shift at work and need to make something quick, so if you know of any magical foods out there other than ramen noodles, let me know!

I thought I knew how to do this type of problem but the numbers I'm getting are coming out really weird, so I need another brain to help me with this...
I have a soil and I will say that the specific gravity of solids, Gs = 2.65. The water content is 0.70%. What is the void ratio? (the soil is saturated). I'm not sure if it is just the high water content that is throwing off what I deem to be normal values or not but I'd appreciate some help.
What I've done:
I solved for the unit weight by taking the unit weight of water divided by the water content % which gives me a saturated unit weight of 89.14 lb/ft^3. (already really low). I then took the equation:
unit weight sat = [(Gs+e)/(1+e)]*unit weight of water
plugging in and simplifying got me to 1.43 = (2.65+e)/(1+e)
Then solving for e I got e = 2.84
Which just seems stupidly high.

A while ago I had a question in one of my classes where I had to find a few features about 2 different members on a thermometer.
But how the proposed thermometer worked was it consisted of two lengths of two different types of metal arranged vertically. (Something like this: |__| ) On top of those two metals was another member with a point which would span across the two vertical members. Because of the nature of the two metals the member going across the top would tilt up or down based on the temperature and a small scale on the side was used for reference.
Is this a real type of thermometer, if so, what would it be called? Or is this just something a few textbook writers came up with?

I don't remember what it is a response to, nor can I picture the scene it is from, but I know it's a bad guy who says it and he says it in kind of a quick, high-society (either New York or English) way of talking.
Sorry for being super generic here but honestly this is all I can remember. And also note it could be from a TV show rather than a movie... but I'm leaning towards movie. So if anyone knows what that quote is from I'd love the help.

I need to find the volume of the indicated solid and I'm getting really frustrated setting these limits. My textbook is nearly useless in helping me on this one.
The solid is above z = √(x^2 + y^2) below z = 4, above the xy-plane, between y = x and y = 2x.
I've set z = √r^2 or z = r, I've made it so the height is defined by 4-r, however, when it comes to the limits I'm lost.
I have ∫∫ (4r - r^2) dr dθ right now but from there I don't know how to do much else. I've tried turning the y = x and y = 2x into polar coordinates but that doesn't help much. I made it so the y = x is turned into θ = pi/4 but then nothing comes out nice when I work out y = 2x because it gets something like θ = 0.3524pi, which doesn't seem right at all. And if I used those for my dr limits then I'd have no clue what to do for my dθ limits. So clearly I'm clueless here.

I've started working on a problem to determine the binormal vector at 2 different points (t = 0 and t = 1) but it seems to have gotten incredibly complicated and I'm not sure if I messed up or if there is a shortcut I'm missing.
I have r(t) = (t, 2t, t^3) I found r'(t) = (1, 2, 3t^2)
Using T(t) = r'(t)/||r'(t)|| I got that T(t) = (1/sqrt(5+9t^4), 2/sqrt(5+9t^4), 3t^2/sqrt(5+9t^4))
As you can see finding T'(t), finding N(t), and eventually finding the cross product of the two is just ridiculous so I feel like I'm missing something here. So If I did something silly early on or if there is a much more simplified method to finding binormals please let me know.

I'm renting an apartment that I got around October of last year. Until recently I've only been needing heating and due to the size of my heater compared to the size of my apartment... the heater only needs to be on for about 2 minutes to heat my apartment completely.
The AC unit isn't quite as over sized and has to run for a bit longer. The air intake, unfortunately is incredibly loud and now that the AC needs to be running more constantly it is unbelievably annoying. Because I don't expect my slumlord owners to do much about the noise it seems to be up to me.
So I'm looking for something I can put between the filter and the grate (I have about a 9-12 inches depth of working room) that doesn't reduce the air intake too much but will reduce the noise. Just to experiment I put a towel on the outside of the grate and the noise was pretty much instantly cut in half but I'm pretty sure almost no air was getting into the air conditioner.
So if you have any ideas on how to reduce the noise please let me know.

Ok, this isn't really homework but for the life of me I can't figure out what my professor is trying to get across by writing a formula we need this way. I need to have a small report done tomorrow early so emailing him isn't the best.
The formula he gives us is
"Points = 152.68 * EXP (-0.021* Area)"
Initially what I thought was ment by this formula was: 152.68^(-0.021* Area)
However, that gives me a basically non existent value.
The idea of this formula is to make it so less area = more points (I think with an area of 20 it should top out at around 100 points). But for the life of me I can't figure out how to enter this into a calculator.
Any help is appreciated.

Alright, double question here.
In my past I always though the word "queer" meant one of two things. Either it meant "strange".. or "odd" or it was a derogatory term for someone who was homosexual. However, it has come to my attention that that is no longer the case. Taking some surveys and what not lead me to find out that queer is a sexual orientation of some sort. So could you fill me in on what the new meaning of queer is now.. I feel very out of the loop.
The 2nd question is "what are the 'bases' in the sexual relationship?" This is something I also thought I knew but with a recent conversation I appear I may have been wrong.. or maybe not. If you aren't sure on what I mean by "bases" I mean something like.. first base is making out/french kissing and generally "home" is just sex. But base 2 and 3 are what I've heard different things about. So if you could update me on what the bases are now, that would also be appreciated. :)

I have a physics problem which I mostly solved, however I'm having a bit of trouble with the algebra in it. Everything is symbols so I can't speed things up by much here. I've spent quite a while trying to figure it out but (L-d) is constantly messing up my equations.
Here is the formula:
(d)(L^2)(p2)(g) + (L-d)(L^2)(p3)(g) = (p1)(L^3)(g)
and I need a formula that has d = ...
I could be way over thinking this but I don't believe I am, so any help would be appreciated.
Please note that p1, p2, and p3 are all different variables.
