  • Spooky horse...Any suggestions?

I bought a 16 yr old TB that was being used as a school horse for jumping. When I ride we will be walking along fine and he will spook and turn really fast and run. I know you should turn them back and get them to see what they are afraid of but my problem is I have no idea what is causing him to spook. So what I'm doing is going back to where is spooks and doing circles. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • Purple spotted dog...Have you seen it?

I saw a purple spotted dog on the side of the road this morning. I tried to catch it but it ran like the wind. Has anyone else seen a purple spotted dog lately?

  • How do you stop a horse from charging at you when you lounge it?

We have a 8 year old Mustang. We have all sorts of ground manner problems with this horse and that extends to lounging in the ring. I mention the ground manners cause I'm sure it's all part of the same problem. She has no respect for our space. When we lounge her though she will go around a couple of times and then charge at you bucking and kicking. I'm really afraid someone is going to get hurt. She doesn't care if you have a whip or anything she just comes straight at you.

  • How do you get a puppy to stop growling?

We have 8 Great Dane puppies. They are almost 7 weeks old. The runt is a female and when she is around my kids she will growl at them. I'm not talking about playing. They will go to pet her and she growls viciously. We don't yell or hit her. My kids are older and I always watch them around the dogs. I have never seen a puppy behave this way.
