  • Please diagnose my internet problem?

For the first year and a half-that I had this setup, everything was working fine. Lately, however, the internet will randomly get disconnected every couple of hours, streaming services occasionally buffer and zoom calls frequently drop. Everything generally seems to be moving a tad slower than it used to as well. What's the reason for these problems and how do I fix it?

My sixth sense tells me this is all just a result of generally slow internet and that I can fix it by upgrading to a package with more Mbps of speed. However, this doesn't explain why this is only happening now, and I'd rather not pay more monthly without trying other things first.

I'm wondering if maybe it's time to replace the router/modem. Is less than two years enough time for it to degrade like this? Are there any other rebooting / resetting suggestions I can try internally first before going out and buying something?

  • Can I listen to iTunes purchases on Apple Music?

I'm not a music streamer and just want to listen to songs I've purchased on iTunes via my Android device. iTunes is not available on Android, but Apple Music is. I saw a claim that said that because of their integration, everything in your iTunes library can be combined with what you have on Apple Music. However, I downloaded Apple Music and it prompted me to pay $9.99 to use. How do I use a free version of Apple Music to listen to existing and future iTunes purchases?

If the answer is that it's not possible and there is no free version of Apple Music, my follow-up question is why would Apple offer to sync with your iTunes library? Seriously, what good would it do that you can listen to your old purchased songs when you're already paying monthly to access everything?

  • What's the most on-the-nose use of a montage song in a movie?

Name a song that plays over a montage in a film that matches what's happening in a very on-the-nose way. A good example would be David Bowie's Starman in The Martian.

  • What's a good alternative to Google Play Music?

Google has been saying that YouTube Music is the go-to replacement for when Google Play Music goes away, but that won't work for me because YouTube Music doesn't give you the ability to purchase songs. The service I'm looking for needs to have an online store, it needs to have no monthly fee, it needs to have a way to transfer my existing downloads onto it, and it needs to have an app available on Android. What are some good apps that fit this bill?

Can you import previously downloaded songs into your Amazon Music library?

I'd like to take all the songs I have downloaded that I've previously purchased on other platforms and move them into my Amazon Music library. I don't see an option to though. I'd also like to create playlists on Amazon Music once all the songs are in there, but I don't see the option to do that either. How do I do both of these things? I have the free version of Amazon Music.

Can you purchase songs on Amazon Music? ?

To replace Google Play Music which is disappearing soon, I'm looking for a new free app where I can purchase and store songs, make playlists, ect. Other apps like YouTube Music, Apple Music and Spotify seem to only be for streaming, but this screenshot implies that Amazon Music does have its own store. When I search for a song though, I don't see the option to buy, only the prompt to upgrade for a monthly fee, which I don't want to do. Does Amazon Music actually have an online store, and if not, which Android app does?

  • Who's an iconic fictional character that showed up late in their series?

Name a character that was introduced either in a later installment in a book or movie series, or in a later season of a TV show and went on to become one of the more popular characters to come out of that property.

  • What notes are played in Stereo Love's accordion solo?

I can tell it's somewhere between 12 and 15 notes, so if you could list them out for me I would appreciate it.

  • How can I make a dating app show me women in multiple cities?

I plan on moving within the next couple months, and since all dates are virtual nowadays anyway I'd like to start connecting with women in my future city in addition to my current one. I'm on OkCupid, Coffee Meets Bagel and Bumble, but haven't figured out how to do this for any of them. If it's not possible, what's a site that I can do this on?

  • Should you apply to a recently posted job if a second job board says it s older?

It happens to me all the time where I ll find a job listing on a site like Glassdoor that says the job was posted only a couple of days ago. I ll then go to either linkedIn or the company s website to find that their listing for the same job was actually posted a number of months ago. Which job site holds more credibility to how old the job really is, the older one or the newer one?

  • How do you know how old a job opening is when different sites list different posting dates?

Whenever I'm job hunting I'll frequently see a job posted within the past few days on a board like Glassdoor or indeed. I'll then go over to the company's website to find the same job listed as having been posted over a month ago. Why does this happen? Should I assume that since one of the listings is new that the position is open again, or should I go with the oldest date and figure that the opening is too old to bother applying to?

  • What's worse to have on a resume? An irrelevant job or an employment gap?

My resume is starting to get too long to fit onto one page, so I want to cut some of the jobs and experiences on there that are irrelevant to my industry. However, if I do that, I'll have an employment gap on my resume which I also heard looks bad. How do you show that you were doing something for a time period on a resume, without using any space?

  • Do roommates come included?

As I've been apartment hunting, I've been looking for places with two or more bedrooms, so I can live in one and split the rent with those who live in the others. When I see a listing like this, how do I know how many of the rooms are already taken? It would be a shame to look at a place only to find out that no one is living in the other rooms. Do I need to assume that every apartment will be completely vacant, and treat roommate hunting as a completely separate process? If that's the case, then I can only assume that there's a difference between sites that show apartment listings posted by landlords and sites that show room listings posted roommates. What are some good sites to go to, and what's the best way of balancing these two searches?

  • What are some good lunches you can bring to work?

I don't want to get into the habit of buying food everyday, so I'm trying to get some ideas of lunches I can bring to work. I can't bring any hot food, and I don't like sandwiches. What kinds of foods do you usually pack?

  • Websites similar to Meetup?

One problem with meetup.com is that there s no place on a person s profile where it says their age. This is annoying, because when you meet up with a new group for the first time, there s no way of definitively knowing that everyone won t be twice your age. Could you guys point me in the direction of a website that is pretty much exactly the same as Meetup, but lets you filter through groups and events based on age? I know there are some other sites like citysocializer, MEETin and groupspaces, but I can t quickly check to see if these ones solved this problem without creating an account for each.
