  • If I am resigning from my job, when will my health insurance end?

I wanted to get a couple of doctor's appointments in before I lose my insurance- does it end when I turn in my resignation letter or my last day of work?

If anyone is familiar with 1199's union that would be really helpful! Thanks!

  • What is a rent schedule (from appraiser for a loan)?

The bank wants a rent schedule from the appraiser, and this is what is holding up the closing. The appraiser says that the bank didn't ask about this before and now wants this information and that's why it's taking so long.

  • Am I supposed to pay for the bank's assessment of my home for a loan?

I'm applying for a first mortgage on a home that is paid off but the bank wants me to pay for the assessment of the home.

    Shouldn't they pay for it?

  • What exactly is a first mortgage on a home that is already paid off?

I am trying to get some money for a business I am opening up and was told that a first mortgage on a paid off home would be the best way to save on interest. Is this like getting a brand new mortgage on the home? It looks more practical then trying to get a business loan or personal loan.

  • Should I feel bad? I ignored my MIL's birthday on purpose.?

My MIL has been insulting and degrading me since I married my husband two years ago. She is very competitive and tries to start arguments between my husband and I so that later she can say I'm always fighting with him. She has told me that I insult her and undermine her even though I've only been trying to get her to like me since day one. I can't say anything to her, good or bad, because she manipulates it and turns it into a big deal. She has even told my FIL and husband not to compliment my cooking and complains that they give me too much attention. She is so jealous of everything that I do and every good thing someone says about me furiates her.

Everything is about her needs and how every since my husband married me he forgot about her and blah blah blah.

I'm at a point now where I want to spend the least amount of time possible with her because no matter what I do she finds a way to portray it in a negative way.

So I 'forgot' her birthday and still haven't said Happy Bday to her after three days. Last year I got her a present and made a cake for her so I feel a little bad about it but know that no matter what I would have done she would not have appreciated it.

  • Do you believe that Obama has already brought positive change for America?

People around the world are already more enthusiastic and hopeful, as well as respective, of the US ~ unlike the election of our last president.

  • Did you know all of these celebrities support Obama?

    http://blog.themavenreport.com/?p=1473

Isn't it nice, that the rich and elite are actually looking against their own personal interest and supporting what's right for the country and the future of young Americans?

  • My husband lied and stayed out too late... what do you think I should do?

My husband went out w/ friends and said he would be home around midnight but didn't get home until after 2 am. That's not the biggest concern- we already have some trust issues because we were in a long distance relationship before we were married and I have many reasons not to trust he is telling the truth. Although I don't think he has ever cheated on me, he has lied about little things and hid things about his past from me.

I am upset because he got mad at me for calling to tell him I was going to sleep because none of his friends wives called them. He is never that rude or insenstive to me so I took it really personally and am actually very hurt by the way he acted. I am not sure what to do because it feels like my feelings for him are changing. I'm not sure if I'll ever feel the same about him.. am I taking this too far?

  • Mother in law help! I have been living with my MIL for months and we cannot move out bc of cultural reasons.?

She's critical, negative, and cheap- she re-gifts me things - I wish she wouldn't give me anything at all! She doesn't work but expects me to cook/clean after working 40-50 hour weeks. She makes nasty comments in front of others and told my hubby to compliment her instead of me! She's always complaining about something hurting or being tired and how she does everything, but usually she just watches TV and eats all day. I'm really annoyed, I've tried my best to ignore her but she gets so immature and loud about the littlest things then blames everything on everyone else. I want to maintain a peacefull environment because we're planning on living w/ them and raising our children there but she's so controlling and jealous of everything I do- if I cook something ppl like she gets mad/rolls her eyes. I don't want this to effect my hubby and I, he's trying to keep me happy and so is his father. I try not to involve them but she twists things around and tells ppl I did things I don't do/say.
