This question is more of a survey and it is to help me to test a theory. I ask please to answer questions honestly. Thank you for answering.

1 If you call a company like a car dealer or parts store and are immediatly put on hold, would you wait or hang up? If you would wait, how long would you wait?

2 If you were transfered to a call center away from the dealership would you still talk to the company?

3 Would you put more stock in someone who answered and then offered to call you back after helping a customer in front of him?

4 Would any of the answers change or be solidified if there was a nearby competitor?

Need a 2 1/2 ton heat pump for my home near Nashville. I have a guy who could put the freon on and/or replace the unit I have been quoted $3300 installed for the unit with a 10 year warranty. Just not wanting to pay more than I have to. I have the ability to install the new unit up to putting in the gas and I think that could save me sone cash if I can find a place to get one. Lowes only sells them installed if that is your advice.

I have a 99 suburban it is shifting into 3 out of 4 gears. I just drove it and noticed a couple new things. It shifted from what seems to be first to second at about 15 mph. Then it shifts at about 35 into the next gear if you feather the throttle and let it fall into the gear. The funny thing I noticed was that if i manually shift the car from od to 3rd gear then it will not shift into the last gear which I have been assuming was 3rd. I can put it to about 3000 rpm and go about 55 mph and no shift. If it is in overdrive it will shift back and forth between lower gears if at between 2500 and 3000 rpm.

I have replaced all shift solenoids. The truck sat for about 5 years running once every two weeks or less. I pulled the pan and noticed no debris in the fluid and no discoloration of the origional fluid.

Any ideas from the gallery?

I changed the solenoids in the transmission, also changed the fluid, filter, and throttle position sensor. The truck shifts great from 1st to 2nd then feathering the throttle will drop it into third but never into overdrive. When in third sometimes it will shift back and forth between 2nd and third. The truck was wrecked and had pulled a transmission line off and was ran low enough to stop the truck, not sure if this has any relation to the problem. There is also an issue when I put it into 4wd, it seems to shift irratically between gears. There is no check engine light on. Any ideas?
