  • Have you watched the UK Sex Education show...would you?

I've been watching this show on TV and, while it's very interesting and informative to the teenagers, I think it's shocking how many of them ask questions that really their parents or the School's sex education lessons should have already provided answers to. One example would be a 15 year old asking if you can get pregnant if you have sex on and close to your period.

For those of you who have watched the show, what do you think? The show itself isn't just targeted at 13-18 year olds at High school it also dispels 'sex myths' such as different people having sex which others may view as disturbing-e.g OAPs.

My opinion is that the show is a better lesson for kids then the sex ed lessons that actually happen in the UK now and I think it's sad that a TV show would be better then the curriculum which is meant to teach.

    So my questions are:

Why do you think of it if you watch?

    Are you interested in watching?

Is it a good idea? Better then the lessons in school?

If you were designing your own set of 12 sex ed lessons, what would you be sure to cover?

Do you think the age is appropriate (13-18) or should it be lower or higher?

Should their be different lessons for boys and girls or should everything be combined?
