Why is Internet Explorer opening new windows when I close a tab?
When I close a tab on Internet Explorer (v.9) it opens 3 new windows showing the page I just closed. It doesn't do this every time, but very frequently. At least once in every 10 times I close a tab. What could be causing this and what can I do to make it stop?
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoWhat is the name of this old art print that makes a waterfall look like a reclining woman?
Unfortunately I do not have a picture of this print. I saw it last week in an antique store. The print was done in simple colors, black, white, grays, pale blues and dark blues. There were trees and rocks to either side of the waterfall, but the water itself wound down and around rocks so that it looked like a reclining nude woman. It was very beautifully done and I would love to know the name of the artist or the name of the print. I know this is a shot in the dark, but in the even that anyone out there would know of something similar to what I'm referencing. Many thanks!
1 AnswerDrawing & Illustration9 years agoWhat jewelry maker would engrave the letter S on earring backers?
I have a lot of vintage jewelry that I am trying to identify. Though I am earning a lot in the process, one pair has me stumped. I have a pair of earrings whose backers are engraved with the letter "S." What maker would do this? I have several pair of Avon earrings that have similar backers which are instead engraved with "AVON." Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoWhich bluegrass artists do you recommend?
I recently admitted to myself that I love bluegrass music and I am looking to build up this area in my musical library. Who are some of the best artists that I absolutely should have?
7 AnswersCountry1 decade agoWhat can be done with left over drywall?
We recently put up new drywall in the upstairs of our house. Now we are left with lots of pieces in a variety of shapes and sizes. I really hate to just dump them in a landfill somewhere. What can I do with them instead? I'd love to recycle them but can't locate a place (I'm in PA) to do so.
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoHow can I discourage groundhogs from entering my garden?
My fiance and I just bought a house about 30 miles from his parents house (where we are currently staying while we get it move-in ready). We started a garden despite the fact that we are not yet living there. Apparently we have groundhogs living under one of the out buildings, they have been helping themselves to my garden.
I have given up on having successful crops but I'd like to know how I can get rid of them for the coming years.
We already have a fence up but they dig underneath it despite the fact that we have buried the wire.
We would love to shoot them, but they elude us on most occasions.
I have tried sprinkling cayenne pepper on my vegetables, this doesn't seem to face them.
I have no interest in using poisons. I'd like to do this naturally/organically.
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow do you tell porcelain from ceramic or bisque?
A collection of doll parts have recently come into my possession and I would like to sell them. Unfortunately I am not sure what material they are actually made out of. How can I tell if they are porcelain or ceramic parts? I have also come across information about bisque which is apparently an unglazed porcelain. I just want to know what these are made of so that I can accurately describe them.
The parts are very thin, fragile, pale white and unglazed.
Hobbies & Crafts1 decade agoWhy has our rooster suddenly gotten aggressive?
We have a flock of 22 chickens. They are right around 1 year old and a variety of breeds. There are 2 roosters, one is a leghorn (Chuck) and one is an americauna (Fabio). Up until now Fabio has been the "dominant" one, he is the one mounting the hens and chasing Chuck. However last week we added 2 goats to the mix and my brother (the one who typically cares for and coddles the chickens) went on vacation. He just returned yesterday and was reunited with his beloved hens last night, all was normal.
Fast forward to this morning and Chuck, once the chicken my brother was the closest with, is now attacking him.
Any suggestions as to why the change has occured and more importantly what to do about it, would be MUCH appreciated!
