1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans7 years agoWhat is the best CLEP/Dante resources?
More specifically, I'm looking for resources (preferably free, but not required) that anyone has used that got them to pass the clep/dantes after having NO OTHER of the subject. Basically, something that actually as good as going to a class that you can use to interpret/understand the items on the CLEP. General Ed requirements are costly and I just want to wipe them out. The subjects I'm mostly interested in is:
DSST (815, 821-826): Pulic Speaking
DSST (475) Business Ethics & Society
DSST (524) Priniciples of Finance
DSST (461) Art of the Western world
DSST (812) Business Mathematics
CLEP: Humanities
CLEP: History of the US I (Early Col. to 1877)
CLEP: History of the US II (1865 TO present)
CLEP: Western Civilization I:
CLEP: Western Civilization II
CLEP: American Literature
CLEP: Analyzing and interpreting Literature
CLEP: English Literature
Which ones are easiest.....in your opinion if you exerienced multiple ones?
Thanks for all your help!!!

2 AnswersProgramming & Design7 years agois there any type of OTC numbing agent to put in a first aid Kit?
I'm wondering if there was any type of OTC numbing agent for an outdoor first aid Kit for like stitching open wounds, or say when you have to lacerate the skin to extract out venom from a snake bite..things along those lines when professional medical facilities are few and far away.
3 AnswersFirst Aid8 years agoHow do you determine sun angle to apply in passive solar design?
I'm trying to self-educate myself in principle of passive solar construction. I have a basic understanding of the principle behind it:
-Capture winter sun
-Block out Summer sun
-Thermal mass to store energy
-southernly facing within 15 degrees of true south
My question is, how do you determine/calculate the sun angle to accomodate the principle. I can do a sun angle calculator but I don't know how to interepret and apply the output: for example:
how would I determine the angles winter & sun angles ( picture: http://www.spartansaving.com/solar-energy/passive-... based off of information received:
Lat/Long: 37.05N / 94.51W
Altitude Angle: -17.73
Azimuth Angle: -74.22
Clock time: 6:00am
Solar time: 5:38am
Hour Angle: -95.43
Declination: -22.97
Equation of time: -0.06
Sunrise: 7:28am
Sunset: 5:15pm
**the above is just an example of a given day***
Now that I have the data for that one day, how would I use those figures to determine the winter & summer critical sun angles?
I understand thats just any day and I think I would need the figures for for the beginning and end of the solistices to get a span, but what do those figures above tell me?
How would I use them to draw a diagram (like the link provided) for any given location to ensure enough glass would capture the maximum amount of sunlight in winter but determine enough overhand to block the sun?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
2 AnswersGreen Living8 years agoHow can I find variables/values of a .ini file?
I'm not a computer programmer by and stretch but I know enough to understand how programming language works in a sense. What I'm trying to do is to read what each command of a .ini file for a particular software controls. I know there are librarys in the various languages but I also know you have to define a particular commands/variables so the operating system knows what to do with it. That being said, is there anyway I can determine what the certain objects mean?
What does the value 0 mean in "OwnerCreate=0". Is there some reference guide as to how to read what certain things mean? If it helps, the program is developed on 4.0 .net framework
For example:
[Special List]
MSplitPos=150
state=0
Left=367
Top=100
Width=132
Height=38
ClassName=TfrmSpecial
Module=Some Module
OwnerCreate=0
TextHeight=16
1 AnswerProgramming & Design8 years agoCan I deduct start-up expenses if I haven't made any profit yet?
I started a LLC partnership business (treated as a partnership not S-Corp) November 2012. I also work full-time since my specialty is something that is done in warmer weather. I have payed for business startup costs but I have not made any profit yet; however, I would benefit from the standard deduction more than I would if I were to itemize deduction. So that leaves the question, would I receive any benefit from the startup cost incurred when I would take the standard deduction, or is that a different deduction on its own that wouldn't be considered an "itemized" deduction. Thanks
4 AnswersUnited States8 years agoCustom casual button-down, casual, collared-shirts?
I'm looking to find information about getting custom button-down, casual, long sleeve, collared-shirts. I'm a big outdoor enthusiast and I really enjoy my wildlife. Bass pro use to carry repeating wildlife patterns (like deer and elk in the woods) but they don't carry it anymore or if they do, its a hit or miss ordeal. I have came across fabrics that has had patterns I wouldn't mind to be made into a shirt, but making those type of shirts out of that pattern is not my thing nor do I desire to learn how to do that stuff so I was wondering if I could just bring that fabric to a an alterations shop or perhaps any place online that has that service to meet my needs? How much would you expect something like that to cost? I can wear just a regular MED so its not like I need it for a special size, just like the pattern. Thanks for all your help!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories8 years agoDoes anyone no a good wild medical plants guide or resource?
I looking for a "field guide" for wild plants that have medical properties in it. Specifically, something with color photos and descriptions that I can look at the picture and identify it (like any well-known field guide would have). If you know of any good websites that have the same info please share! I'm not looking for videos. Thanks in advance!
1 AnswerOther - Outdoor Recreation9 years agoConditional Probability - data table provided!?
The answer is .3333 but I am still having the hardest time trying to figure it out...along with others here's the question and the table:
A study was recently done that emphasized the problem we all face with drinking and driving. Four hundred accidents that occurred on a Saturday night were analyzed. Two items noted were the number of vehicles involved and whether alcohol played a role in the accident. The numbers are shown below. Given that an accident involved 2 vehicles, what what is the probability that it involved alcohol?
................... NUMBER OF CARS INVOLVED
Alcohol? ----- 1------ 2 ------ 3 or more ------ TOTALS
Yes ----------- 54 ---- 97 ---------- 19 -------------- 170
No ------------- 20 ---172 --------- 38 -------------- 230
TOTALS ---- 74 --- 269 --------- 57 -------------- 400
Like I said earlier, the answer is .3333 out of the following choices:
A.) 0.4750
B.) 0.3290
C.) 0.3333
D.) 0.1118
I just don't know how they probability equals 0.3333. You would think it would be 97/269 = .3606
I've also tried P(2 car accident) = 269/400 = .6725 plus P(alchohol involved) = 170/400 = .425 minus P(2 car accident & alcohol involved) = 97/400 = .2425 therefore P(A) + P(B) - P(A & B) = .855 **now I know you would do this for P(A or B) provided that certain conditions are met but I tried it anyways because I was not coming up with .3333
Any ideas? I am 100% sure the table above is exactly the data used.
1 AnswerMathematics9 years agoProbability - Given that an accident involved 2 vehicles, what what is the probability that it involved alcoh?
I am having a difficult time figuring out how the probabilty = .3333.
Heres the data:
**************************** Number of Cars Involved*************.
Alcohol?.......1_____2_____3 or more______TOTALS.
Yes______ 54 ------ 97----------- 19 ----------------- 70`
No_______ 20 ----- 172 --------- 38 ---------------- 230`
TOTALS___74 ------ 269 -------- 57 ----------------- 400`
This may be simple enough but I just can seem to get .3333. I think I've been studying too much and the simple stuff is slipping my mind!!!
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoWhat brand of rum was given at the RCI Timeshare Presentation in Freeport, Bahamas?
I attended a RCI timeshare presentation in Freeport, Bahama for the Xanadu resort back in 2005. One of the gifts they gave for attending, was a bottle of rum. Has anyone attended this presentation before? As I recall, the rum was pretty smooth and would go great in one of my drink recipes but I don't remember the brand. Thank-you in advance.
