  • best touchscreen phone?

I am wanting to buy a touch screen phone but there are soooooo many to choose from! I want programs like word, excel, etc... I want awesome internet and mp3's. I have AT&T so it has to be something I can put my sim card into. I want to buy this phone from ebay or somewhere cheap, but I want to know if when I put my sim card in it, that the programs and internet will work. My husband just got a Blackberry and it sucks! No camera, no internet, no mp3's!!! I gotta have internet, excel and word for my Avon business. Plus I want music!

If you personally have a great phone that is a full touchscreen let me know what it is. I like the Iphone but willing to go cheaper! I like the full touchscreen with the slide out keyboard too.

Just remember it has to be AT&T compatible!

    Thanks!

    Jules

  • My dog is becoming a little aggressive at play?

I have a year old Boxador (lab x boxer) that is extremely hyper and playful. He has never shown aggression towards people until just recently. We used to live out in the country but now live in town and he has to stay in the yard. He will not stay though, so we have to keep him tied up. We figured getting him a friend would help, so we got a year old American Bulldog female to play with. They love each other to death but he has taught her out to get out, so now they get out together. Go figure!

So I have to keep them both tied up all the time, unless we are outside or the backdoor is open (although this only works for a little while).

Its been a month or more now, that when my husband came out to feed him, he growled at him even after he called his name, then, while they were playing the other day, he snapped at him. I was playing with him at one point and grabbed him underneath as he was running and he yelped and spun around like he was going to snap, but I think I just hurt him is why that happened.

I'm just trying to find out if this "aggression" he is showing is going to get worse or if it is just because he is being kept tied all the time and has so much energy built up?

Other things to know about him: when he was 6 months old or so, he was in the pen with my Dachshund, who had just had her puppies weaned, he got to close wanting to play with her, she jumped on him and he jumped back on her.

He and his AB buddy can play really rough, grabbing each others necks and collars. They've never gotten into a fight, if one yelps the other stops, they somewhat understand each other I guess.

When people walk down the street, he lunges at the fence, hair standing up barking. I think he just does this saying "this is my yard" because if I go outside the fence and walk with a stranger up to the fence, he doesn't care. And I work at a vet clinic and take them every now and then and they don't care about anybody there, they are just like "PEOPLE!!! YEA!!"

Anyway, that's enough for now... any advice? (don't have money for obedience training, is there any I can do at home?)

  • Need help finding the right camera?

I don't know a whole lot about different cameras so I need someone to help me out who knows about this stuff.

I want a camera with good zoom, one that I can take pictures of my horses running on the other side of the pasture and still have a good quality picture that will print and look nice. So with that, I'm guessing I need something with a high mega-pixel. I don't want something I have to change lenses or whatever, I just want a regular digital camera that I can upload the pictures to my computer easily and print.

I would prefer HP because that is what I have. Both of my printers are HP and my current camera is an HP. But brand really doesn't matter if it is a good camera and user-friendly.

Plus, I need the camera to look somewhat professional because I am trying to get my own photography business going. The camera I have now is too little and doesn't look professional at all. Oh, it is an HP Photosmart with 3x optical zoom and 7 mega-pixels. It is a nice camera, easy to deal with, just not big enough.

Is there something out there for me?

    Please help!!!

(p.s. I don't have a lot of money, is ebay a good place to look?)

  • Reiners and Dressage people?

Hi guys, I just wondered if there is anyone around me who has a high level dressage horse and/or really good reining horse they would let me ride just once?

I am about to start training a couple for reining and dressage and wonder what it will be like when they are really good.

I don't really care what the breed is, it'd be cool if they were arab in any part, that's what I have, but I don't care.

Oh, I am in Johnson County, in Texas.

Don't worry, I won't ruin your horse, I've been riding forever (and been training for a while now) but I am new to these sports.

    Thanks

    :-)

  • Anyone in North Texas?

I'm looking for some riding buddies around my area to maybe do some local open shows with in the spring. Or if you know someone who has a sanded arena would be great. I'm about to be working my gelding pretty hard toward reining, and I live where the ground is hard, black dirt and I need some soft ground he can manuever easily in. I am about 40 miles south of Fort Worth, if you know someone let me know. I will award best answer, but if you have details, email me privitely. Oh, I have arabians if you are looking for an arab riding buddy. We have a hard time in this quarter horse country. LOL

(P.S. I have a fiance who is very insecure so, no guys, just girls as riding buddies, sorry)

  • Attn: reining trainers?

I have a gelding (8 years old, purebred arabian, Crabbet and Polish lines) who I am wanting to train for reining. I know the basics and I know what he needs to know. He is very talented, after only 2 weeks of training you can drop the rein, sit down and say "whoa" and he stops, good on his rear end. He does need a little help moving his weight back, but I know how to do that.

Here's what I know: he'll need to be very soft (done most of the way) be able to stop with seat position, no rein (done, need more practice on the lope, but it is almost perfect) be able to lope slow and smooth without touching the reins (I know how to achieve this, but if you have any add-ins I'd appreciate it) and be able to do flying lead changes (I think I got it, but if you have pointers that'd be great).

    <more in additional details>

  • what would you pay for him... part 2... sorry no periods or comas LOL?

    Dang 1000 characters goes fast

The only things bad about him was he was a little spooky but not bad he wouldnt run away with you But he never set back on the halter he was odd just put his head up & neck out

Anyway bout his training Trained to run barrels had been doing it for a couple years fastest time 17.6 after only about 4 months of training He would turn on a dime but not on the rear just about even although he was built more on the front Big stout shoulders Left barrel first

He was fun to ride so light on his feet (even though they were huge) very smooth ride He did poles but wasn't really trained he was just good at lead changes As far as dressage he could do the skipping about 3 steps (of a canter) and switch side passes he had the neck, big and upright He would do trail rides and kids could ride him too He was an awesome jumper only doing 1.5 or 2 ft but he looked amazing and was easy 2 jump didnt stop short or leap over he'd just glide over the jumps like they were nothin

  • What would you pay for him... part 1?

I don't have this horse anymore (I'm stupid I know) I traded him for two fillies a 7/8 arab and a purebred.

Just wondering from the ones experienced in horse buying and selling (arabians), what you would pay for a horse like this. Here are the details as of when I traded him.

He was about 17 or 18 years old. Purebred arabian, Polish lines, flea-bitten grey, perfect body conformation, not the typiest head, it was flat but he had big eyes and jaws, and the most amazing expression. He would give you goose bumps watching him run. He had a very short tail and mane, always did don't know why. He had a hip injury long before I had him that often popped but never hurt him, even under the pressures of barrel racing and jumping. He had enormous bones, 14.2hh set with feet fit for a Clydesdale and they were hard, a farrier's nightmare but he never needed shoes. He had a trick with his left hind foot you had to pick up the right foot then sneak around behind him and pick the left one up...cont
