Hi my 4.5 year old guinea pig has scurvy. I just got her back from my ex, who she was living with for 6 months, and she was very ill, barely walking or eating. She has been on Vit C supplements for a few days and she looks to be feeling better, but she is still not walking around like her old self. I am wondering if anybody else has dealt with this before and could tell me what to expect regarding recovery.

I was wondering why the large disparity in estimates for the lifespan of guinea pigs. I have seen anywhere from 2 years to 12 years. Mine is 4.5 years old and sleeping more than usual. I am wondering if this is because she is an 'elderly' piggie, or a sick piggie. I can't take her to the vet right now because I am 700 miles away, and I am very worried.

I just ended a long relationship (7 yrs) about a month ago. I did it for the right reasons, but my heat is broken nonetheless. I'm torn between anger at the things he did to me toward the end of the relationship, and missing him like crazy. I don't want to get back together, but I don't want to lose him for good; if possible I'd like us to still be friends. Any tips on how to move on, whether we can be friends, how to handle the situation? This is my first long term relationship, and I'm having trouble dealing with the breakup. Help please... I can't stop crying!
