My property manager keeps changing the rent ledger to make me seem late on payments.?
She has been doing this for months. SHe has gone so far as to change a payment that was made 8 months ago!!! She changes the ledger all the time. She changes the amounts that were credited to the account when myself and my roommates worked for her. She since has started fights with me and doesn't like me and is trying her darndest to get me evicted. She can't do that unless my roommates are out of the apartment. So I asked to move out months ago and my roommates said they couldn't afford the rent if I left so I wasn't allowed to leave. So then they want to leave and she is letting them out if they pay out their lease. Considering she has given them rent credits of over $300. I do not believe that she is going to make them pay to get out of their lease. I do not know what to do and cannot afford a lawyer right now. She is trying to say she's allowed to change the ledger but I know you cannot back date a payment on a check so how the hell is it legal to change a ledger!!! I just need to know if this is completely illegal or not. I dont want to go to a lawyer and them tell me she's allowed to and waste money. I am being harrassed by her not only on the apartment complex but now she is also trying to come eat at the restaurant I work at. SHE LIVES AN HOUR AWAY FROM IT!!!!! she does it because she knows it drives me nuts but I have no way of knowing how to get her to stop, never the less get her to stop harassing me into signing forms and this and that and I am tired of it!! PLEASE someone tell me that I am not going crazy and that what she is doing is completely illegal!!!!!
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoMy dog has been itching a lot lately, and i can't figure out what is causing it?
My 4 month old black lab/blue heeler mix is itching like crazy. We are located in an area that is really humid lately and I"m not sure if that is causing some of the problem.
Heres why I can't rule out fleas. I didn't have enough money to get him advantage so I got him Hartz, which I hate b.c it almost killed my kitten a year ago. But it was my only option for flea/tick medication at the time. Within a week of giving him it I forgot to note if his itching had died down or not before we went on a hike. We were climbing rocks and running around that day and came home with a few lonestar ticks on the both of us, and so did our friends that came with us. We got all the ticks off of him but i'm still worried about the fact that he got bitten and I didn't have him on the "good stuff" for fleas n ticks... I did realize he was itching a lot more after our hike, and figured that the Hartz wasnt working and he had gotten fleas again.
I called my vet and she said it could be fleas/ticks, allergies from the hike, or dry skin. I gave him half of my chewable allergy medication as she told me to try for four days, no improvement or change while he was on it compared to when he is off of it. So I got flea and tick shampoo gave him a bath. A week after that he was still itching and so I got an oatmeal skin soothing shampoo. Its been 4 days since that bath and he's still itching a lot.
Someone suggested to me the other day to try n feed him an egg a day, something about helping his coat and possibly skin so i tried it the last two days. Hes still itching a lot though.
I know hes only four months but he is super smart and is pretty good when I say heel when he's off leash. But hes so darn itchy he will sit there and itch for upwards of 30 seconds itching before following my commands again. Its starting to worry me, because the more and more he itches the less he wants to play around. He just lays on the couch to sleep and itch.... I went to the vet with him yesterday and she said its nothing to worry about but she suggested the same things I had already tried. But i need a solution to his itching. I know he doesn't want to itch and "flea" himself as much as he has been lately but I have run out of ideas and dont know what to do. Suggestions are extremely welcome.
3 AnswersDogs9 years agohow do i introduce my cat to new kittens?
I will be getting 3 new kittens soon, 2 are for my family, one for my mom and one for my aunt, but i am going to get them from a friend and my moms going to come get them from me when she has a break from work, and i have a break from school....
but the problem here is that i already have a kitten... he'll be 4 months on the 15th and they will be 6-7 weeks old. he's not very good with other animals just on a daily basis of introduction. he's going to have to get used to having a little sister, but i want them to get along, i dont want him hissing at her, or the other kittens that will only be here temporarily, and making them evil kittens......
whats the best way to introduce them, so they'll be used to eachother and get along???
3 AnswersCats10 years agotoilet training my kitten and now hes having accidents....?
i've been trying to train my kitten to potty in the toilet and he was doiing fine until the day i was moving to my new apartment... he was very quick learner and was on the amber disk in 2 days, he peed immediately in the toilet while the amber disk was on the toilet but then a problem arose..... the next time he went to investigate the toilet, he slipped and his leg fell in the toilet....
ever since then hes been stubborn, he pees and poops in my shower, and just last night i found out he has been peeing on my carpet that goes around the toilet bowl..... he was doing soooo great and now he's having sooooo many accidents its not even funny.... does anyone know how to stop him from peeing and pooping in my shower, and to get him to not want to potty anywhere in the house except for in the toilet????
I wanted to try to get some of the doggie no no spray, but idk if it'll work for cats.... any suggestions??
p.s i tried going back to the first disk, but he still will pee and poop in the shower occasionally, its not like his tray is dirty either.... this is getting slightly obnoxious and i'm about to give up and just get him to stop having accidents, put him back in his litter box, and then try to start training again in like a month or 2.....
2 AnswersCats10 years agohow can I de-flea 2 week and younger kittens?
I know dawn dish soap works, but at such a young age I'd be afraid the momma cats would be super pissed at me for (what she would see as) hurting her kittens.... theres 15 kittens evenely born between three mommas, all a week apart in litter ages.... I Know advantage is way to risky to put on them at such a young age.... youngest i've put flea medication on a cat is 7-8 weeks.... but i really need help..... they are my friends kittens, but I'm helping her rehome the kittens when they are old enough, and I refuse to rehome them with fleas.... please help!!
3 AnswersCats10 years ago2 week old kittens with fleas?
A friend of mine has three cats all that just had kittens the eldest litter is 2 weeks 3 days old, the next is 1 week 3 days old and the last litter is 3 days old..... we can't tell if the 3 day old kittens have fleas or not but the other two definately have fleas.... is there ANY way to get the fleas off of the kittens other than dawn dish soaping the kittens, getting everyone, human and animal, out of the house and bombing the house for fleas??? theres 3 momma cats, and 15 kittens, 5 to each momma.... i know majority of people say kittens must be 10-12 weeks to give them flea medication, and I gave my kitten flea medication at 7-8 weeks, with vet approval, and he was fine, and is now flea free.... however 7-8 weeks and 3 days to 2 weeks old is WAY different.... is there ANY product out there that could be given to the little kittens and mommas so that neither of them will get sick.... I'm asking for her b.c i'm helping her rehome the kittens, and if i can't rehome them until they are 7-8 weeks, and then have to give them flea infested to people who get them, I would feel SUPER bad..... I dont think I could do that.... Does anyone know either from experience in vet offices or from personal cat owning experiences help me out??? 15 baby kittens would really like your help...
2 AnswersCats10 years agomy dog got fixed and is now peeing everywhere!!?
She was completally potty trained before we brought her in to get fixed. We (me and my boyfriend) didn't bring her to an animal hospital or a vet, we brought her into our local animal shelter for a low income priced spay, mainly because we are students on a low income budget.... When we got her back friday and she acted fine... a little hungry and a little thirsty but you would be too if you hadn't eaten because of the surgery... She slept most of the day and was fine... until 2 am saturday morning.... when we woke up to her howling b.c she had peed in her kennel.... since we brought her back from getting fixed, she has had an accident on the couch, four in her kennel, and peed 7 or 8 times on the floor since we got her back friday.... We dont know whats wrong, and we dont think she's uncontrollably peeing because she will squat and pee... but once she starts she can't stop peeing until she's done..... before if we caught her peeing she'd stop and then continue outside... now we catch her, bring her outside, and she'll pee AGAIN and sometimes two more times..... its really strange and I'm super worried.... does anyone know what may be wrong with her??

2 AnswersCats10 years agoReaction to dewormer? or did she get into something?
I woke up this morning at 8 am, which is 2 hours later than when the dog normally wakes me up, and i woke up to piles of diarrhea where we put her at night..... she just went to the vet friday and the vet found hook worms and gave her a dewormer, yesterday she was fine, but today she is very lethargic, and has horrible diarrhea... at one point it looked like salsa.... (sorry if i ruined salsa for anyone) but i'm really worried, and all our vets are closed on sundays..... i looked online and something said to not give her the normal amount of food we usually do, just to see if it passes.....
We did switch her treats yesterday, but we only have given her one of them.... when we first got her we gave her beggin strips, then went to something else (cant remember the name) and we ran out of them, and went back to the rest of the beggin strips.... but i dont know if its the dewormer making her stomach upset or if its the switch back to the beggin strips treats....
Shes an 11 week old siberian husky, about 18-19 lbs according to our vet.... does anyone know what may be wrong with her???

2 AnswersCats10 years agoPlease Help, I don't know if i should tell my parents I got a Kitten...?
Okay this is REALLY LONG.... I'm sorry for the book report length but there's a lot to explain...
Technically they don't know I got the kitten... Yuma, my little boy, is 8 weeks old. I have wanted to get a cat b.c I don't think I would be able to take care of a dog in the size of an apartment that I like living in, which is not very big... If its to big there's a chance it will become messy..... Nor do I think I could train it to very well, I just doubt myself when it comes to a dog. I love cats, even though I am allergic, but it didn't stop me from getting Yuma.
My parents didn't know about it, my sister does though.... My sister was mad at first until I told her all the things I am going to do for him, and how I have already changed my cleaning habits. I vacuum every day as to not let dander or hair build up and flair my allergies. This also means i cant have clean clothes laying everywhere and get cat hair on them, leading to an allergy attack.... Overall I am becoming more of an adult in this last week than i have in the 2 years I have been at college away from home. I am being more responsible where I'm leaving things. For example, if I leave something out and Yuma gets to it, what could happen to him, I don't know and don't want to know, so I am putting things away all the time.... I am also working on my budget to know when i can afford to do something a little extra for myself, like going out to eat (nice place), going to the movies, or even getting new clothes, and when I need to pay for something for Yuma, because his health is more important than new clothes and films that will eventually be out on dvd for a dollar at redbox..... I have my priorities straight and will do anything for him...
(which btw, give teenage girls their own apartment for three months, a job they have to find on their own, max of 150$ from their parents every two weeks, and a cat and they wont need to have a baby to grow up.... i think this could help... honestly i do)
sorry for the random tangent.... BUT i feel my parents are going to be disappointed in me for doing something behind their backs even though I am 20 and am an adult, They still help me out with money every once in a while when they know i cant pay for something, like two weeks ago my dad helped me out b.c i had to get a new car battery.... I don't want them to find out about my kitten and then think that any time I'm calling them that I am calling them for money so i can get something for Yuma.... I have a job, but not every paycheck is as amazing as we want it to be... I want to pay for things for him from my pocket, from the money I have saved. I just don't know how to get them to see it this way.... Should I tell them I have a kitten and explain the way I have changed my lifestyle already, or should I just not tell them until he is older..... I feel like i should tell my dad while Yuma is young, dad loves baby animals.... and just try and keep it a secret from my mom (rents are divorced)...... I am 6 hours away from home, so its not like they can just come down and barge in my apartment and say SURPRISE!!!! without me already suspecting them possibly coming down.....
Just want to point out, that I have already scheduled an appointment with the vet for his first kitty check up, he's getting fixed and micro chipped in 3 weeks, and will NOT be de-clawed and I'm ordering soft paws for him tomorrow. I am also getting insurance for him in August, definitely not getting paid enough at work to pay my current bills PLUS an insurance bill, but I will have money in august that will allow for this....
Should I tell my parents sooner rather than later??
What are the chances of them not ever wanting to help me out when I need money because they think I've wasted it all on Yuma already, or think its for Yuma?
Should I keep it a secret from them??
I'm super worried if you cant tell, but ANY and ALL suggestions or comments will help me out....Sorry for the long windedness... please help
8 AnswersCats1 decade agoReally Bad allergy attacks?
My boyfriend is highly allergic to cats... we've found out just how bad it can be today.... I just bathed him last night, to get anny excess dander off, i brushed him before my boyfriend came over, vacuumed the whole apartment (which isn't very big) but i have a swivel sweeper, so its supposed to "clean deeper" into the carpet or what ever.... I even changed my bed sheets, as i said small apartment so the bed doubles as the couch, and that STILL didn't help to much.... this morning just before he came over i even wiped down my kitten to get anything loose off his skin. I've already had some tips on to reduce it, but even after he took alevert (allergy medicine for those who dont already know) and we stepped out for lunch, when we came back, he just couldn't stop sniffling.... The only thing i didn't do was shampoo the carpet, if i had a machine to do it i would have though....
My question is did I miss something?? Is there something else I can do to help my boyfriends allergies out so that he can come to my apartment with out dieing from his cat allergies???
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoKitty is sleeping, and and I need to give ear drops?

6 AnswersCats1 decade agowhy on earth do cats fart?
I found a cat last christmas in my back yard... i think someone dropped him off b.c no one has tried to claim him yet..... he's a sweetie though and aged around 1-2 years. anyways... we had him for about three weeks before we realized something was weird.... we just thought someone had farted and wouldn't own up to it... n then one day it smelt perfectly fine, n my sister and i were sitting watching tv and smelt the nasty smell again, we knew our dad and mom wasn't home and both knew it wasnt us.... and we looked down and realized it had to be our cat..... his farts REAK like no other.... his poop doesn't even smell that bad, could be the litter covering it up but still...... why is he farting such a horrible stench..... is there anything to help his smelly butt???

2 AnswersCats1 decade agoMy cat wont stop attacking my laptop screen, why?
Even if theres nothing moving on the screen he will pounce on it.... Is this normal?? Is it because he wants my attention or is he just attacking it because he's a kitten..... Is this normal that he will sit on my keyboard of my laptop and just sit there??? Im so confused why he wont leave it alone.... i have to warn my friends that im talking to that if i start typing and a bunch of jumble comes up that they have been kitten typed to because he does it so often now..... im worried hes doing it because Im not giving him enough attention... but i dont know what else to do.... I play with him til he falls asleep sometimes and then he'll wake up see that im not near him anymore and he'll come right up next to my laptop and fall asleep again, and then freak out on my laptop when he wakes back up from his nap....
1 AnswerCats1 decade agoIs it safe for me to bathe my kitten twice a week?
Im hoping once a week I can bathe him, but im hoping twice is okay, I am allergic to cats and I am find around him for up to three days after i bathe him, after that the allergies get really bad. Is this bad for his skin and coat?? or will it be okay?? Id only be using dawn dish soap, and it doesnt last long before he gets really upset about being wet. The last two bathes have been flea baths, but I dont want to continue bathing him twice a week for a long period of time if this will harm him. Any one know if its okay??
8 AnswersCats1 decade agoIs my kitten having nightmares?
My kitten will fall asleep (obviously) and sometimes when he's sleeping he'll twitch a lot, roll over, and move a lot. Then he'll start to chatter his teeth. Sometimes when he's been asleep for a long period of time, he'll wake up and cry (soft mews) a couple times but then lay his head back down. Some times if he keeps twitching his arms and legs and starts to move his head in his sleep I will pet him and he'll be fine. But the other day I did it and he freaked out, and woke up and cried really loudly. Is this normal for a kitten who has been recently been taken from his mother for the first time. Hes 8 weeks so its around the normal time, but I just want to make sure theres not something wrong, or that I need to be doing something else to help me be more comfortable.
