not to mention ignoring the teachings of matthew by holding christian prayers in the first place prompting other religions to seek inclusion

it seems to me that for every hateful or intolerant verse in the bible there is another about love and acceptance why if your "real/true Christians" do you cherry pick the negative ones and not the positive witch are more aligned with Jesus's message of love and acceptance

good examples are prayer in school and anti lgbt policies the bible is against public prayer and judgment of others (golden rule stuff)

we could publicly demonstrate proof of god and record the event for evidence

obviously i'm talking about homosexuality not rape etc.

so my family is jewish and my wife's is christian neither of us have ever been very religious, but decided about a year ago that church and religion might be a positive influence for our family. we tried a few churches and weren't happy. while we were attending the last one my daughter started asking me about heaven/hell and becoming upset, saying i wasn't going to heaven because i'm jewish and she was going to hell because she didn't love jesus enough. the last day we attended, the church had 2 little scared girls tell the congregation about how they would go to hell if they didn't love him enough etc. so we left the church and religion altogether. since then iv'e done my best to keep religion out of our lives but now because of christmas my daughter is coming home with nativity scene artwork and asking about jesus again.

If things were a bit different and the only December party a public school had was say for Demon Revels the satanic dec 24th holiday would christians still say it's not a problem because the students don't have to participate if they don't want to? or would they be more open to an all inclusive simple holiday party

when they think about a man intimately are they thinking about that same sensitive guy talking about how something hurt his feelings?...i doubt it

a boy born of immaculate conception, grows to a man, and helps people while preforming miraculous feats. he is betrayed by someone close to him and dies a horrible death, then ascends to join his father in heaven, and is deified. jesus or hercules?

why is one considered a myth and the other isn't?
