  • How to Switch Back to Old License Plate?

I have a vanity plate on my car now, and it's no longer relevant to me, so I want to have it removed. I still have my old license plate, so can I just switch them or is there something I need to do with the DMV?

    Thanks.

  • Payment to Non-Resident, Non-Citizen Freelancers?

I am a US resident and citizen and have several freelancers that work for me. All of this work is done over the Internet.

Prior to paying US citizens, I require them to fill out form 1099.

Prior to paying resident aliens, I require them to fill out form 1042-s.

Is there any form that I should submit to freelancers who are not US citizens and who are not currently located in the United States?

Also, what would be the best way to pay freelancers? I have several that requested moneygram payments, but would that be something that could be mistaken as money laundering?

    Thanks for any help!

  • How to Land B2B Partnerships?

If my site (http://www.pickmonitor.com/) could land even one big name partner then I think it could really take off. Every time I contact a sportsbook (the ideal partner for my kind of site) though, the customer service rep won't even pass my call along to a higher authority.

It's troubling, because I really and truly believe that a partnership would benefit the other business as well, but I just can't land one.

Does anybody have any success tips on how a sole proprietorship can form a partnership with a larger business?

  • Should I ban this user?

I have a user on my site (http://www.pickmonitor.com)/ that is very clearly not taking the handicapping seriously. He also regularly comments negatively on other users' profile pages. He almost seems to have multiple personalities too. Sometimes he will say very nice things, and then the exact opposite.

All of the above makes me think I should ban him, but I also feel that he draws more traffic to my site because he's the kind of guy that other people love to hate.

    What would you do?

  • Are the members of the Westboro Baptist Church good Christians?

I'm an atheist, and don't know a great deal about Christianity, so forgive me if I am way off here.

I once read that members of the WBC follow Christianity more closely than any other "Christians" in the world. Is this at all true? And if so, why don't more Christians behave like them ("because it's mean" isn't a good excuse - you picked the religion)?

  • Theists, why do you still believe in your god?

I fully comprehend the need for a god in some people's lives. It is my belief that faith is deeper in the less fortunate not because they are less educated, but because they need a motivating factor for living. That being said, I have no problem with the fact that people USED TO believe in a god.

Any theist that answers this question has access to the Internet, meaning you have a wealth of information at your fingertips.

So, why do you STILL believe in a god?

    Is it...

    a) because your faith is strong enough to overturn the evidence against your god,

    b) because you haven't bothered to seek the evidence against your god,

    c) any other reason

  • Do people who bet against the house know what they are doing?

I bet mostly on sports, and play a little poker. Every once in a while I might play roulette or blackjack when I'm out with my buddies, but I do it with full knowledge that I am at a disadvantage, and it is strictly for the entertainment value.

I've heard of people spending hours at the slots, spending their entire income on scratch off tickets, etc. I always thought they were addicted to the "thrill" of it, but I've been wondering lately...

Are there people that actually think that playing slots, lottery, etc is a way to make a living?

  • Do you know of any reliable XML stock quote feeds?

I am looking to add a stock picking section to my website http://www.pickmonitor.com/ but I have yet to find a reliable feed that allows me to get data for all the stocks from the major exchanges.

Does anyone know of such a feed? It doesn't have to be free.

  • Expected Long Term Win %?

Take a bet such as a point spread on a football game... a "coinflip" type of bet.

Then, take a handicapper who has, say, a 30 - 10 record so far on these bets.

Clearly he is better than 50%, but it's also obvious that 75% will probably not hold. Is there any way to predict that handicapper's long term winning %?

  • Should I let my dog roam the house when I'm gone?

I adopted a 3 and a half year old beagle from the SPCA yesterday. I have to leave him alone tonight for the first time for a few hours, and I wonder if it is okay to let him have control over the house, or if I should make him stay in the garage for the first couple of weeks while I'm gone.

He has been perfectly behaved so far. He sniffs everything, but doesn't touch anything he shouldn't. My concern with leaving him in the garage was that he barked like crazy when I had him in there for 5 minutes when I was doggy-proofing my house.

    Thanks!

  • How can I hire someone to hand out flyers for me?

I own a business that involves sports betting, and I feel that it would be greatly beneficial to hand out flyers in the streets in Las Vegas. The only problem is that I live in Delaware and don't want to travel to Vegas every weekend.

I know I could hire somebody on craigslist or similar, but I would have no way of knowing if that person completed the task.

Any suggestions on how to hire someone and make sure that it gets done?
