  • Why are my kitten's whisker's breaking?

My kitten is 13 weeks old and a few days ago I noticed a couple of her whiskers looked like they were bent. Well, I didn't think much of it at the time, but now the last couple of days I've noticed short whiskers. I first thought she was maybe growing new whiskers but now I think most of them have just broken and are short now! I know cats can loose whiskers but I haven't had a kitten in a long time and can't find anything else about broken whiskers so just wondering if this is normal at all or what I should do.

She's a house kitten and I have no other pets she comes in contact with so nothing else is chewing them off.

  • Could my kitten have a UTI?

My kitten is almost 11 weeks old and I have only had her about a week. She doesn't seem to drink that much water... but I know she is only a pound. She has had 2 accidents on my bed so I know she has peed but I have cleaned her little box out every night and there doesn't seem to be any urine spots in it and I've watched her go into the litter box a couple times when she seems to be squating and as soon as she is done it still doesn't look wet.

I use FreshStep litter and I used TidyCats with my last cat and I always clearly saw when my old cat peed.

I'm just not sure if its the litter that absorbs it or if she has something wrong?

Otherwise she is very healthy, eats great and plays until she can't keep her eyes open.

  • Why does my kitten not use her litter box ALL the time?

I adopted a kitten a week ago and she is currently 10 weeks old. Her 1st night she slept with me the entire night, however her 2nd night she pooped on the bed in the middle of the night. Now I had a covered litter box that was covered and I was helping her inside so I figured she just couldn't get into it, so I just took the cover off and she was doing just fine using it. Until her 6th night with me she pooped and peed on the bed!

My bedroom is on the top floor and her litter box is 2 floors down... is this maybe just too far away for her during the night? Since she hasn't had any accidents during the day... I just really don't want her to continue to poop or pee on the bed.

  • Can having snails in a fish tank cause the water to turn a greenish tint? ?

I have had a 10 gallon tank for about a year now and it was beginning to turn kinda green a few months ago and I asked the pet store what to do and they suggested snails and now I have 2 snail but everytime I clean it within a matter of days it seems to be green again. The water is perfect I've had it tested and it is never in direct sunlight. I don't overfeed them because I have one molly that is huge and eats everything it can find. Please help me because I'm sick of people telling me my tank is dirty when I know the water is actually fine
