She is currently on Authority Indoor cat food from Pet Smart, but she is shedding all of the time, and always has almost 24/7 365. So my vet said this is not normal even for long haired cats and that she is missing fatty acids, or amino acids something like that. He said we should switch her food, and I know I need to do it slowly over time, but i'm not certain what the best food for her would be. She has been on authority since we adopted her 3yrs ago as a kitten, she went from kitten authority to adult. She has always been very healthy, even with the shedding she very rarely gets hairballs, and doesn't have any bald spots, it is more like spring shedding just all year round. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not think it is fleas, as I never see her scratch, and it is relatively localized to near the base of her tail. She is a white cat with medium length hair, so at first I thought it was just dirt, so I gave her a good brushing, but when I parted her fur I found them at the base too. She was not uncomfortable with me touching the area, and has no other symptoms that I can find. I am planning on giving her a bath soon, and if it does not improve in a few days I will take her to the vet. But if it happens to be nothing I would appreciate any information.

I was watching the recent episode of Chuck and it looked like he had two different eye colors, unlike David Bowie who has an overly large pupil in one eye, due to an accident, making his eyes appear different colors.
