  • Guitar and Ukulele help please?

I'm learning the guitar and making steady progress in it which I never thought would happen... Anyway one of my friends plays the ukulele and i immediately took an interest in the instrument. I know there are similarities between the ukulele and guitar so would it be hard to learn the ukulele? or would it be relatively easy? considering i can play the guitar (relatively well for a beginner - intermediate player) and the piano which i've been playing for years.

This may be a stupid question but is a ukulele basically a miniature guitar?

Any advice will be welcomed =)

  • How to get rid of my mothers fear of cats?

I've always wanted a cat as i've always loved them and found them so delightful and amusing! My parents have finally agreed to get one for me after 9 years of asking, writing essays, making a movie and several power points. I am due to get one in the next month or two, but the thing is my mother is really scared of cats. If she see's one in our garden or in the street she'll always comment and say how cute it is and go up to it and stroke them. But one time we went and came home quite late in the evening and she got scratched by a random cat which really startled her. she's slightly afraid to get really close to a cat now. Is there any way i can get rid of her fears or will she get over them herself when there is actually a cat in the house?

  • Piano and guitar help?

I've always loved music ever since i was little but i am a really bad singer so i decided i would learn an instrument. When i decided i wanted to learn an instrument my parents said i could only choose one, it was an easy decision the piano. I've been playing the piano for about 1.5 years now and i really love playing it but i've always wanted to play the acoustic guitar as well (i already own one) and recently i've began learning it as well as the piano. It's been fun but hard as i keep getting confused with which rules apply to each instrument, it's also quite tiring... I was wondering if i should stick with just playing the piano and focus all my energy on that or if i should carry on learning two instruments.

Do you guys think it's better to play amazingly on one instrument or be good at two?

  • How can i get more interested in maths?

I'm a student in the top set at school but i'll admit i'm not doing very well at the moment. I know i really should care more but... i just don't really care about failing which is bad. The thing is i try to revise and go over my lessons at home but i always get distracted so easily. My teacher does not care in the slightest and said to me that if i get less than a B i am moving down so any help in improving in maths?

  • What are easy piano songs that can be learnt in 5 days or less?

Ideally i would like recommendations of pop songs but i wouldn't mind classical, rags, rock or any other type of music that can be played on piano. It has to be no longer than 5 minutes. Any ideas?

  • I want to be a doctor when i'm older, is this a wise choice?

I know that university fees are getting more and more expensive every year and that the course is hard but i want to find out if all of this is worth it in the end. Everyone is telling me that i'll regret it but i'm not sure... (p.s. was thinking of becoming a surgeon or an anesthesiologist)
