Recently I have been considering building my own PC, as I am moving to a new house and it would be much more convenient to have a PC instead of a PS4. PC gaming fits my play style, and is considerably more fun, however, I was hoping for some input from others on whether or not it is worth it.

If I buy my own custom PC, I want it to be high-end, and worthy of playing the newest games when they come out, such as The Witcher 3 and The Division. I figure I can sell my PS4 and games for about $350 - $400, and my PS3 and games for $250 - $300, which leaves me $600 - $700. I have a bit of money saved up as well, so I am looking at the most $1100 to spend.

With about $1100, could I buy a PC that will last severaly years, and if so, is it worth it?

I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite with an i7 processor. This is my first laptop, primarily for school, but I would like to game some as well.

Anyway, I bought "Metro 2033" from Steam and I am having trouble getting it started. I have an Intel HD 4000 graphic card. I realize this is not a gaming card, but the game is not even supporting the graphics card, so it boots me out as soon as it starts up.

Will I have this problem with any game I get? If so, what reasonably priced graphics card could you recommend? Realize, I am not a hardcore PC gamer, I have a PS3 that I do most of my gaming on. I would just like to be able to play the occasional title from Steam, ones that I cannot get on the PS3, such as Metro 2033.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I would like to keep my Steam games downloading over night, but my computer enters sleep mode and then shortly thereafter, turns off. I would like to keep it where my desktop is constantly on unless I manually turn it off. Does anyone know how to this on Windows 8?

I have Hitman: Absolution, Silent Hill HD, Far Cry 3, Call of Duty BlackOps 2, Fear 3, Uncharted 1,2,3, Dead Space 1-2, Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Infamous 1-2, The Orange Box, Portal 2, Borderlands 2 and Dead Island

Here is what I like:

+ great story (like Half-Life)

+ fun gameplay (like Uncharted)

+ anything that makes a great game

I hate:

- poor level design

- generic feel to stories (like Fear 3)

- mid game drops in plot and gameplay (like resident evil 6)

I was thinking of getting Playstation plus for a year and the getting a game like Heavy Rain or Sleeping Dogs.

Any answers will be appreciated, and if you feel like explaining your answers, that would be awesome.

I only have two PSN friends, and I never even get to play with them. I am not much of a Call of Duty person, but I love to play online and go trophy hunting or really anything. I will list all of my games.

Uncharted 3- insane online that I love

Hitman: Absolution- contracts online, i like it

Silent Hill HD Collection- no online

Demons Souls- has a weird online, but i still play this game often

Dead Space 2- I have only played the story, but I would give e online a shot!

Dead Island- It would be awesome to trophy hunt and mess around on the game. Plus I need someone to do the blood bath arena with me

infamous - no online

Portal 2- great online! I love to play with people

Fear 3- I need some help on a lot of trophies. Has a great campaign coop and extra modes

The Orange Box- the only online is Team Fortress, and I hardly ever play, but will

I might be getting the Mass Effect Series soon and maybe some others....but this is all I have now. And sadly, I have no mic, yet...

I have Demons Souls, Hitman: Absolution, Dead Space 2, Silent Hill HD, Uncharted 3, Dead Island, Infamous, Portal 2, Fear 3 and The Orange Box. I love all of them, especially The Orange Box, Portal 2, Demons Souls, and Dead Space 2. I will get my paycheck in awhile and I will have quite a bit of money set aside for games, I was thinking of getting the Mass Effect Trilogy, but I really have no clue what it is or what it is like, and would love to hear opinions of it. If there is anything better than that, I would appreciate that as well.

As usual, I would rather not have any Call of Duty or Battlefield. I can play them on my friends Xbox all I want. I would like some PS3 games

I was thinking about getting either Dishonored, Resident Evil 6, or Hitman Absolution for my PS3. Resident Evil 6 looks like it would be fun to play with friends, but reviews are mixed on gaming websites and I would rather have the opinions of gamers themselves. What did you think of RE6?

I found out that I can get Metal Gear Solid 4 for $10 on GameStop....so I want another game to go with it. I want a game that will last a while and keep me at least entertained. I also would like a game that would be cool to play with a few friends. That doesn't mean it has to be multiplayer, we enjoy backseat gaming as well. But something fun at least you know...these are the games I have now and my thoughts.

Infamous - 8.5/10 I became tired of this game after awhile, but the trophies are fun to collect

Orange Box- 10/10 I absolutely love Half-Life, I hardly ever touched Team Fortress, Half-Life is all I need.

Portal 2 - 10/10 brilliant game with fabulous voice acting and equally as great multiplayer

Uncharted 3 - 9.6/10 This came with the PS3 and I rather enjoy it, the online is great as well (fun, even though I'm not quite good...)

Dead Island - 8/10 The zombies were scary and enticing, I occasionally still play

Silent Hill HD collection - (9/10) I really like the story, but the game is so freaky I can't play alone. Still, so far....I like it quite so and I can't wait to finish the 3rd

Demons souls - .2/10 Obviously not my game, the story is very boring and the gameplay is WAY too hard. I find it unpleasant to play

F.E.A.R. 3 - 6/10 fair game, just decent though

Dead Space 2 - 9/10 I hardly play it anymore...but WOW! What a doozy of a story! Very intense feeling! Wish it had more content....

Those are what I think. And I am considering either Dishonored or RE6 to go along with MGS4. If you have any suggestions, please go ahead and tell me please.

(My friends already have the Call of Duty, Halo, and GTA games, so I don't need those.)

I have a game night with 3 other guys on December 4th. I need a great campaign game or fun coop game to play with them. Here is a list of games we already have:

My other friend has an XBox, and he will already be getting Far Cry 3.

Any suggestions for an awesome coop campaign by Dec. 4?

The only exceptions are if you can name a game that has an AWSOME campaign that would be fun for several guys....but other than that...I would like coop

Four of us guys are setting up a 3 day weekend of video games. One of us has an XBox, and I have a PS3. The XBox owner will be getting GTA5 when it comes out in the spring. And I need to get some game by then as well.

What I am asking is a PS3 game that will be coming out between the holidays and GTA5 release day, that would be fun for 3 or 4 guys to sit and play all day. I was thinking along the lines of:

Dead Space 3

Metro: Last Light

Hitman: Absolution

Alien: Colonial Marines

I don't want Battle Star Royale, or something like that. I was thinking more of a story game, it doesn't need coop, but if it does, that is fine.

I know about the Last of Us, that is coming out AFTER GTA5, and I need something before that,or during. (In the rare case that "The Last of Us" does come out early, I will be getting that regardless)

Please, leave your suggestions, I just would like to hear what the gamers on the Internet think

I want to pick up some fun and cheap games. I am new to gaming, and to this country, and I'm not sure what to buy. My collection consists of 9 games, if it helps, I will rate them just so you will know what I like.

As you now see, I hope you understand my likings. I hope someone that is experienced with games sees this questions and helps me. I have looked on Amazon and found the following games that look promising.

-Uncharted 1&2 collection

-Metal Gear Solid 4 (had high reviews)

-Bioshock

-Heavy Rain (the reviews said it had a neat story)

If you have any suggestions, they would be appreciated. I am getting into games and just want some fun. Thank you for your time, I have about $80 to spend, so I can combine some and get multiple games.

(please no sports games or racing games, nor do I want Call of Duty games. I just don't find those fun.)
