HAZEL
Discrimination?
Is deliberately giving someone a larger workload than someone else discrimination? Both people are employed in the same position
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoProbationary Period at work help!?
I started a job in August 2014, the agreed probationary period for the position is 6 months, obviously subject to extension. However it is now March 2015 and I have been in post for 7 months and have not yet been confirmed in post. My manager keeps saying she hasn't had time to do this. My issue is as far as the terms of my probationary period they must clearly outline any reason for extension of my probationary period and give me a reasonable timeframe for the period of extension, however i haven't received any explanation of this. My manager keeps saying they still have to mark my workbook which they have had for 7 weeks. Would I be within my rights to go to HR and ask for a full explanation?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoPre-Employment Health Checks?
Someone please help me! I am totally stressed out right now! I am due to start a job on 4th August but the start date has now been put back as my doctor didn't tick a box to say I am fit to do the job on the pre employment questionnaire! I phoned him about this and he said that he doesn't tick this box for anyone, and as a GP it's not upto him to decide though said he stated this on the form! Now i have to go to see an occupational health doctor for clearance to start this job! I am totally panicking!

*Sigh*
My poor 6 month old puppy is not having much luck!
He had a hernia removed around 4 weeks ago, he had breathing problems under the anasthetic... He got an infection in the wound and had antibiotics, this cleaned the infection up. He got his external stitches removed about 9-10 days after the operation by the vet.
A few days ago we noticed a bit of a stitch initially I thought maybe the vet had missed a piece, I took him back to the vet as I was worried and it looked slightly red and swollen.. The vet said he is having a reaction to his internal stitches, and his body is pushing them out. She cut them back to his skin as close as possible and said he will be ok. However to me the wound still looks irritated to me. Has anyone else experienced this? My other dogs have been fine when they had these stitches. He seems happy enough though is a little more irritable than usual. Should I take the vets advise and not worry or should I go to another vet for a second opinion?

1 AnswerDogs7 years agoPuppy has a weird habit?
My puppy is 6 months, he is a really confident puppy who is happy and playful. I got him at 9 weeks old and since I got him he has always sucked on blankets as he is going to sleep, he only does this when he's going to sleep or tired. I think this has become a habit for him. Personally it doesn't bother me, he's confident, happy and well socialised. My question is should I continue to let him do this? I think it's ok, was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
5 AnswersDogs7 years agoCat has dry skin, dandruff?
My cat is nearly 11. Recently I've noticed she has pretty dry skin.. Dandruff I guess. I groom her regularly at home. She has been treated for fleas and worms recently. She doesn't seem to be scratching excessively and seems happy enough. I was considering buying her a vitamin supplement and changing her food? Would this help? Could it be a sensitivity to her current food?

1 AnswerDogs7 years agoPuppy wearing e-collar other dogs behaving differently towards him!?
My little 5 month old male puppy had to have surgery on his hernia yesterday and is now wearing a cone/e-collar, he seems to be coping ok with this, but the 2 older dogs aged 3 and 4 years (both girls) have been growling/snarling at him since he returned! I'm wondering if they're afraid of the collar, i dont think theyve ever experienced one before? Also he smells quiet strongly of iodine or something they used as a disinfectant during surgery could this be a cause of their behaviour?
