I had never seen Les Miserables as a theater production or movie but just saw the new one..... I personally adore it..... What do YOU think?

If you have seen other versions, how did this one compare?

If it was your first time, did you enjoy it/was it worth it?

Did you think the characters were casted well?

What did you think of the singing?

Did you cry? (Sorry, I know I did, so I'm just wondering if anyone's as much of a sop as I am)

What did you gain from it?

I'm playing Polovetsian Dance, arranged by Jerry Ray, and my piano teacher told me that a pianist is supposed to play the harmony softer than the melody. I get that- it makes sense- but she wouldn't tell me which part was which, and I just got soooo confused. When I asked her, she said, "What? Don't tell me you can't say what's what on your own!"

I should be able to figure it out on my own, but it just... it's not clicking, you know? This piece is beautiful, and I want to play it right. I'm not that good at pedaling, either, and for this song, you use it the entire time. I never know when to pedal! It seems sometimes I'll get it and it'll sound great and then other times, I lift up at the wrong time and it all sounds wrong and I feel like an idiot. I've been playing a year and three months, give or take. I should be able to figure all this out, right? But please, please, please help me.

1. How do I know what part is the melody and which is the harmony by just looking at the music?

2. When do I pedal?

My opinion will remain scarce for now, I want to hear YOUR theories. Should there be vulgar language in books or should we keep it clean and find substitutions for those angry moments or when the characters drop a frying pan on their toe? Please explain to the best of your ability, and thank you.

It feels like menstrual cramps, but I just had my period last week, so it can't be that. It really hurts, and it's right in my lower abdomen area. Do you have any idea what it might be? My stomach hurt yesterday, too, but today it's worse.

I just listened to a couple of songs she sang on youtube. I think she's good, for a twelve year old. Well, she's twelve now. She won Britain's Got Talent when she was ten.

I just have to say I LOVED it. And I wanted to know what other people think of it. Oh, and where can I buy the books? I loved the episodes, but I haven't actually read them. I was wondering if anyone knew where they were sold. THANKS

It shouldn't have to hurt so much. I thrash about, arms flailing as I realize this could very well be the end.

But it can't be! I won't give up! I can't just give up like that!

"Noooo!" I scream. My voice falters just a little, but I keep up my fight. I couldn't--wouldn't--die. I refused. "Please! Stop! No, just let me go!"

They try to hold me down. Try to tell me if I just stopped struggling that everything would work out, that I would be okay.

NO.

My purple eyes blazing in the white heat of light, I tensed my muscles and kicked out with both feet, clipping one of the doctors in the jaw and another in the chest.

"Stop that! We're not trying... to hurt you! We just... want... to help you!"

They pressed against me, putting too much force on my hip and causing pain.

Sure they didn't want to hurt me. Whether they tried to or not, they succeeded.

"Noooo! I won't do it! Leave me alone!"

I felt it. This heat was much different, much more of a burning. It suffocated me, doubling me over in pain. Much worse than anything the doctors could inflict on me.

I would get better at this. At controlling myself.

But now I didn't have a choice. I was not going to be their weapon. Was not going to listen and obey and bow down to the powerless humans.

They did have power.

But so did I.

With a burst of energy, I exploded on the silver steel table, leaping up into the air beyond their reach. My spine crackled with pain and heat, but I cried out only in relief.

Escape. I could do that.

My arms flew out, fingers curling, ready for attack.

No. I wasn't a monster. I was a survivor. A runaway.

Like always.

And I exploded again, my own secret weapons extending out full force in a dazzling combustion of violet and extreme power.

MY power.

Blue lightning crashed into the face of a giant boulder inches from me, incredible heat rolling into the wind and stealing all breathable air. I struggled to move away, staring into the flames of a new fire, which crackled as it burned, growing ever so slightly toward me.

This was the dream that taunted me. Any moment of the day I closed my eyes, or any time my eyes shut at all, images of the red blaze would intrude, and I'd be tortured with the fear again.

I wasn't actually afraid of fire.

There was something else I didn't notice most times I had this vision. But on those few occasions when I was observant to my own nightmarish daydreams, I saw the eyes. Dark gold, discordant and bright. Deep pain and yet, somewhere written within the amber, I saw the desire.

The desire for my death.

I haven't figured out everything about this story, but I really like this beginning, what do you think?

there's this boy in my story, and I can't for the life of me decide on what to name him. Something kind of unique and different, but nothing too weird. Anything that comes to mind, though, is good. I'm desperate now. Give me your fave names, on your guilty pleasure list or otherwise. ANYTHING goes! Unless it's one of those insanely popular names that make me want to gag. The hayden, jayden clan, etc. Not gonna work..... but besides that, anything is fair game.
