  • What should we name our next kid?

Okay, so my name is JimBob and my wife is Betty Lou. We have a couple kids already.

    Their names are

Xes (pronounced EX-IS). Our first son.

    Reeb (our second son)

MaykowtPoynt (was name for the place she was conceived. We think it's pretty special.)

So we got one on the way. We don't know the sex but we don't really care so just throw names at as us. Thank ya. Ya'll come back now, ye hear?

  • How can I give these cats away or list them online?

We live on a nice sized lot (5 acres) and there is plenty of room for animals to run. We have 5 dogs and (I think 6) cats. We are moving soon and can't take the cats with us because we are moving to a 3bed3bath with a small yard. And we wouldn't want to release the cats outside where they could be hit by a car.

I would like to list them online for adoption because I think more people would see it that way. So any site suggestions where I can list them would be helpful.

Here is a video of them:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw0TODZXejs

All the cats in the video are adoptable except Sissy. I was going to keep her but she dissapeared. Anyways, what are some suggestions. We would like to give them away before the open house.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

  • Which dog foods are safe, if any?

This is the dog food we are currently feeding our dogs. It is safe, right?

    http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w248/babyyourad...

If this dog food isn't safe what is. The other day I was told Purina's food was on the recall list. I thought it was only wet food but then I was told their dry food is, too. I am so scared for my dogs, I do not want anything to happen to them. I downloaded the "Free Dog Cook Book" from http://www.i-love-dogs.com/ Has anyone else tried this. Are the foods in it good? Are they healthy?

I am a concerned doggy parent and only want what's best for my babies. They are very important to me and I don't want anything to happen to them. I want them to live a long healthy life.

Btw, are ANY of the dry dog foods on the market 100% safe to use? Maybe I better start shopping for the ingredients in my dog cookbook?

  • How can I warn breeders of long-haired dogs?

Back when I was living with my Grandmother I helped take care of her Dam and pups (Maltese). We had started with four puppies. Two died because they were two week to nurse. They wouldn't even nurse from a syringe. So now we only had two puppies left. As we were getting ready to leave one day and nobody was going to be at the house I had a bad feeling and decided I would stay and keep the phone just in case. Not five minutes later I was in the room with the puppies seeing a pup being strangled. The Dam, Diamond had her hair wrapped around the baby puppy's neck. Feeling that the hair was tight I ran to grab a pair of scissors. I carefully slid the scissors between the hair and the babies neck and clipped the hair. The baby was fine. He grew up to be a healthy boy. But that was the scariest experience I have had with dog breeding. How can I warn other long-haired dog breeders?

  • My dog just turned one year, Is there anything I should get done?

I have a Maltese named Michi who just turned 1-year-old. I was thinking about all the vaccinations dogs need and stuff. The breeder (my grandmother) took him to the vet when he was 8-weeks-old to get his puppy vaccinations and his health certificate. He passed the health test of course.

Then when he was 10-months-old he got his rabies.

Now that he is one should he have an annual exam or some kind of booster? Please help.

  • What is the difference between "Te amo" and "Te quiero"?

I have been learning Spanish for about three years and none of the text books or lessons explain the difference between these, too. I know they both mean " I love you".

  • Why is my dog, Michi being aggressive?

My 1-year-old Maltese has a slight aggression problem. He used to sneak into my Mom's room at night to sleep with her but was banned from her room at night because whenever her boyfriend would lean over to kiss her Michi would leap at his face and bite him. He's never done this to anybody else! He likes my brother, and step-grandfather. He loves me, my Mom and my grandmother. Her boyfriends never been mean to him!

Sometimes he growls at me when I sleep, too but he's never bit me. He left a mark on my Mom's boyfriend's eye. He wasn't like this is a puppy. This is fairly new.

  • What is a good program to teach children 4-7 Spanish with?

Hi. I have two younger siblings. A little girl who is 5 but will be six very soon and a boy who just turned four. I've heard that 5 and under is the best time for teaching foreign languages. I know Spanish but I'm not very good at teaching it. Can you reccomend a good program that really works for teaching children this age? Thanks.

  • How can I help my little sister get ahead in school?

My sister is about 5 and she entered kindergarten. I want to help teach her some things because I worry about her not getting ahead because when I was in school I had real problems with homework and stuff and I don't want her to go through that. It's too stressful.

I have many memories of trying frantically to finish writing out a piece of homework on the bus on the way to school in the morning. But I digress.

I want to play games with her that will teach her educational values that she can use in school and also to help her build thinking skills so homework won't be as much of a problem for her as it was for me.

    Any suggestions?

  • How can I deal with/get over a passed hurt?

I had some bad things done to me when I was a little girl. I was molested by a neighbor, abused by someone in my family and some other stuff that I'd rather not talk about. The man who molested me never went to jail. He didn't even get put on the Sex Offender's List.

How can I ever let go of the hurt? The pain this is causing me? I just want to forget.

  • Getting rid of bugs without make my dogs sick?

I have four Maltese terriers but I also have a bug problem. They are tiny like flying black dots. Whenever I kill one it seems two more appear in it's place. What can I use that won't make my dogs sick?

  • Ever fell into a vegetarian trap?

Just thought I'd warn my fellow vegetarians (especially the newbies) to always read the labels on the food you buy. The strangest food items can have meat in them. There are cans of refried beans containing lard (hog fat) and french fries containing beef fat (Mcdonalds). Please, let me know if you have found animal fat or meat in anything not listed here (unusual). :-)
