My husband says it's base is water....?

Some years ago, I lost 25 pounds over several months and kept it off through exercise workouts: Universal gym, stretching, elliptical machine, some pilates.I work out every second day for about 45 min; to 1 hour.

I quit smoking mid-October 2009 and since December, I steadily gained almost 15 pounds in spite of continuing my workouts without missing a single session-ever?

Is not smoking causing this weight gain; I feel like maybe I should resume this nasty habit-I won't- but feel like it sometimes. What more can I do to get rid of this extra weight? Please someine. Heeeelllppp!!

I am 55 years old and I work out 3-5 times per week. I use free weights, a weight machine and elliptical machine. I do stretches and 60 sit-ups in a workout session.

My problem area needing strengthening is the inner thighs. They are a bit flabby and do not seem to respond to my 'commands.'

Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

It is steel of course and is almost 50 years old. Thanks for the benefit of your experience.
