  • Why do so many Japanese suffer from katakori (stiff shoulders)?

Well, it's not really stiff shoulders, but muscle knotting at the base of the neck, or something. It's not what Westerners might think of as muscle fatigue, I don't think.

Anyway, I've done some research and I cannot get any good answers but it might be stress or depression related. Anyone want to add their expert or amatuer opinion?

  • How to stop two cats fighting all the time!?

We have two cats, a boy Russian Blue, girl American Shorthair, both about two, both fixed. They are also both indoor cats, but whenever they play together it very soon degenerates into grabbing each other by the neck and back paw kicking of heads. There is very, very rarely blood split, but lots of fur flying and usually followed by charging around the room knocking over stuff at random.

Oh, this fighting only happens when I am alone with them - with my wife, they are both quiet and friendly...

  • Why does everyone recommend visiting Kinkakuji in Kyoto?

I've been twice and thought it was so-so and too full of tourists. Ginkakuji has more atmosphere, Kiyomizu-dera is stunning, and the cluster of temples around Nanzen-in are fascinating, and all these are far more accessible than Kinkakuji.
