My daughter is a college student getting ready to graduate; she asked me what is the best advice for her to start saving money and controlling her spending. I would like to get suggestions from the community group.  

There are Government filing fees that are necessary. What do these filing fees consist of? What is a Form 1023? Can I file all the necessary documents with the IRS? If so, how long do this process take?

My son is a freshman (fall 2010) here at the university, the bursars office will not let him enroll for the next semester because he has a balance of $1089.52. As a single parent, I have no means of paying this amount. I considered taking out a loan but my credit is no good. I want to help him. Do anyone know of an endowment fund or individual trust account who would pay this amount so he can enroll for next semester and continue his educational dream. Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated. His degree is Business Management. He is a promising entrepreneur.

My son came to me with a business idea. He and a friend from high school would like to open up a barber shop together (50/50). They both are certified to cut hair. I suggested that my son open up the business and his friend can be an employee under him. I see too many friends go into business and then their are problems. I will be writing the business plan. It is what I do professionally, I manage my own business (sole proprietor).

Purchased a 2001 Mazda Millenia for $2500.00 (as is) on Tuesday. On Thursday I noticed: the engine light stays on, the air bag light is blinking, 1 tail bulb is out, air filter is dirty, oil leaks, brake noise, dirty throttle body, rough idle.
